Hi Disney Parks Bloggers! When the Disney Dream enters service in 2011, it will offer amazing new experiences for our guests. Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering are working on incredible and imaginative new features such as a restaurant that transports guests under the sea, artwork that magically comes to life, “virtual portholes” and a high-tech, interactive play floor for kids.
Take a glimpse into the top secret labs of Walt Disney Imagineering to see a sneak peek of even more magic being created just for you on Disney Cruise Line:

when I was a kid, I experienced WDW for the first time and I remember that overwhelming feeling of “magic” and “imagination meets reality”, literally stepping into a fantasy book. Now, as an adult, waiting for our first Disney cruise on the Dream, and watching these clips on what is being brought to life, I am beginning to feel it again….its infectious.
Well I am definitely going to be dragging my youngling away from that floor quite often.
Would have been better if the video ran it’s entire length.
This all looks really cool! Questions: 1.) Will the enchanted art be displayed at a height that children can access? 2.) I love the Caribbean poster with Minnie & Mickey, will prints be for sale?
We are booked for a 4-day cruise in February on the Dream. When I showed this to my grandson, he said “Cancel the cruise and book for 7 days! We need more time!”
This will be our first-ever cruise and we are so excited!
Looks amazing. Cant wait to see all this in person next year!
Haha! You guys won’t stop until I have my stateroom booked for back to back sailings on the Dream, will you? Oh I can’t wait to sail on this ship!
Awesome…I can’t wait until we cruise on the Dream next June!
I’m booked on the maiden voyage in an inside stateroom…I will not upgrade either. I am so looking forward to the virtual porthole.
This interactive art reminds me of the technology of MagiQuest at Great Wolf Lodge. The kids have a magic wand that activates art, sculptures, and other objects while solving a quest. Since Great Wolf Lodge is a overnight spot on an Adventures By Disney tour, and now Advenure by Disney and DCL have the same President, I wonder if there is a connection. Hmmmm. . . No matter what, we’re booked on the Dream in July. Our 4th DCL cruise.
Holy mother of mouse, this is AWESOME! I’ve never went on the DCL before, but if I ever do, THIS is the ship I want to go on!!
I’ve been trying to motivate my family to try a cruise trip for the first time and it looks like The Dream could be my ticket to persuasion as we are all avid Disney fans! Very exciting stuff. 🙂
