We’ve launched an offer you may want to zip over to some friends tonight – it’s savings for travelers to the Walt Disney World Resort that includes free dining. The details are pretty simple. So, that’s one quick-service meal, one select snack and one table-service meal at up to 100 restaurants for each night of your stay.
Buy a non-discounted Walt Disney Travel Co. five-night/six-day room and theme park ticket package at a select Disney Value Resort for stays most nights from August 15 to October 2, 2010, and you get the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan at no charge. That includes two quick-service meals and two select snacks for each night of your stay – and one Resort refillable drink mug per person.
Sound good? You can book this special offer now through August 14 at disneyworld.com or by calling 407/W-DISNEY.

what is that picture of? Like, which restaurant?
It’s the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
It is on!
I love the sci-fi dine-in!
Here’s to free dining after October 2, like last years
Because of this fabulous offer, we booked our latest family trip to WDW! The offer has made it possible for us -a family of 5- to stay in a moderate resort for 14 days and 13 nights! We’re so excited about it, we are trying to convince other family members to book their trip during the same time! Thanks Disney, you’re the greatest! See you real soon!
14 days and 13 nights! – fantastic. Glad to hear the offer helped.
Awesome? Just one question, how crowded does the park get around the end of september?
We plan our trips well in advance.. we plan to come January of 2011. Will this offer extend till that time do you think? If we book before the offer ends in October, can we get this offer?
Hi Elizabeth…this offer covers most nights August 15 through October 2, 2010. You can book through August 14, 2010.
GREAT DEAL!
Had it once before when I vacationed in Sept. for my 30th birthday with my Dad.. now I’m celebrating my 34th this Sept. with my girlfriend and was hoping the deal would happen again! Saw the commercial for it last night, called and altered my reservation to the deal – saved $400!
Now I get to celebrate my 34th birthday for less and in style! Thanks Disney!
Excellent…great to hear you’ll be celebrating with us again. Thanks for sharing.
Just one more reason why I love Disney! I already had my Aug. vacation booked at the Pop Century. I called Disney Reservations to see if I could cancel my existing reservation and make a new one to take advantage of the free dining deal. Even if that meant paying a cancellation fee, it would still be worth a substantial savings of several hundred dollars. Well, in a few short minutes it was all taken care of – no hastle, no cancellation fee, no problems!!! Thanks, Troy in reservations – I feel like I just won the lottery!!!
Wish a similiar offer would be available for Disney Vacation Club members!
Just wondering if there is a way for annual/seasonal passholders to take part in this since we don’t need a room-ticket package. We’re going to WDW at the end of June, but we’d like to know anyway.
Thanks.
very beautiful
I wish this would be extended to the middle of october….
I want to know what resturant is pictured in this post? Am going to be there the end of June and kids would love this place!!
Yes, they will most likely love the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater restaurant – my daughters certainly do.
Why did WDW change the deal and now persons staying at the Value Resorts get Quick Service only?
@Alexander: September is still technically hurricane season, so you may end up with lots of rain. Other than that, the place is practically deserted after Labor Day. I have a picture we took a couple of years ago on the train at MK. We were the ONLY ones on it.
The restaurant pictured is the SciFi Diner at Hollywood Studios. Try the ribs. The only problem I found with this restaurant is that the movie loop isn’t long enough, and repeats before you can finish your meal (at least it did for us).
To other DVC members: we’ve looked into it before. It’s cheaper to use your points and just pay for the dining plan, which is what we always do.
disney world is the best
My husband and I were lucky and got this offer on our last trip in November of 2008. We were planning on another trip this November. Will this offer be extended into November maybe?
Does this offer apply to Value Resorts also for stays of 6 nights/7 days?
I hope you offer the same free dining plan to us that you offered to the UK. We are planing a trip in January 2011 and it would really help!
Hi, I want to take advantage of the dining special that is effective after August 14; however I would like to take my children on or before August 14 so they can enjoy the parade. Is there any way where I could arrive on August 14 and pay regular price then get the special for the remaining days?
We just booked this vacation to celebrate my college graduation! We went last year and purchased the plan, but it’s even better getting it for FREE! Incredible value.
Any chance of extending it until the end of Oct?
Wish they did something similar to this in December when we will be there 🙁
What about those of us who live in Florida and are season passholders???? No dining for us????
I have booked a trip for the end of October and was disappointed to see that the free dining offer ends Oct. 2!! I do hope that they extend it beyond Oct 2!! I have been once before with free dining and it saved a lot of money for a family of four! Just book your dining reservations ASAP!! You won’t want to be disappointed!
The offer mentions a family of four, but we have five ,a 10, 8 and 3 year old. How is it working for a family of five, like someone commented earlier, I am confused! Please help if you have any info
I had some trouble making my reservations this weekend, basically I asked for the dining plan to be included and somehow it was left off, even though the agent thought it was added. I was so disappointed because now we were adding on a large amount of money that I thought was already included. But Disney came through and rectified the situation. I am just so thrilled and now satisfied with our service. Thank you Lord and thank you Brogan for your help handling this. We are so excited to take our children on their first trip to Disney this year.
