A Colorful New Look

With only a couple weeks before the opening of “World of Color” and with the excitement building, I wanted to make sure you got a sneak peek at the art our teams have put together over the past few months, all leading to the inspiration and development of our “World of Color”-themed merchandise. Several of our favorite Disney characters will appear in a spectrum of items, including tees, fleece and hats.

Some of you may notice that this art reflects our Disney’s California Adventure park name. These will be some of the last items with that look. Be on the lookout for pieces with the new logo that was recently unveiled.

We even have something special in store for our Annual Passholders. As I mentioned in my post the other day, our new Annual Passholder Commemorative Collection will actually debut in conjunction with the opening of this new nighttime spectacular and will feature special themed items including tees, fleece and coins.

So this June, when you visit Disney California Adventure park to see the new show, take a second and pop into some of our nearby merchandise locations and see what’s in store for you. I know that some of you might not be able to make it down to the Resort so soon, so if that’s the case, and you are interested in seeing or buying some of this new merchandise then be sure to check it out on www.DisneyParks.com/store in the coming weeks.

  • I notice on the logo that it says Disney’s California Adventure Park but I thought the official name was now Disney California Adventure, no ‘s and no Park. Just curious… can’t wait to make it out there to see the new show.

    • I’m so glad you’re excited about the art and the product. We are too! As for the soundtrack, there’s nothing in the works quite yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

  • Thanks for posting some more World of Color news! My Mom and I have been looking forward to the new Wold of Color merchandise, especially the pins that are debuting this weekend. My family and I can’t wait for June 11th! It’ll be a busy day no doubt.

  • If you read the post carefully, Michelle says, “These will be some of the last items with that look.” Meaning, these will be some of the last items with the *old* name and logo.

  • The new logo is most likely not on because the World Of Color stuff was made before the name change.

  • she explains the deal about the logo on the second paragraph. The logo was just released and the merchandise probably went in production a time back so as the months pass the old logo will dissapear

  • Very nice. Too bad there isn’t a show like this at Walt Disney World. I know this show would fit perfectly in EPCOT’S, World Showcase Lagoon. Also, nice to see the ” ‘s ” is back.

    I’m glad to finally know what this is as well! When we went to Disneyland back in March, my brother saw a test of this show from our hotel room at PPH. I’m glad to know he’s not crazy because I had no idea what he was talking about when he told me about it, LOL!

  • This is absolutely Exquisite. This version of the Logo is simplistic yet it’s elegance clearly & uniquely captures the essence and global appeal of the show. It’s sad that someone felt the need to change it and now the conveyance is not the same. The show however is sure to be amazing none the less.

  • I really hope a soundtrack is released for the show. It’s such a shame to have all these new entertainment offerings as of late and to not have a soundtrack released for them.

  • I can’t wait! I go to The Park at least once or twice a month. I’ve been watching the progress for the past few years. They have the seating area done. I’ve been in the Wine Cellar and check out the movie & photos. It’s going to be beautiful!
