What a Goofy Way to Celebrate!

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant celebrated his team’s World Championship at the Disneyland Resort today, and he was joined by none other than Goofy himself, who, thanks to his hat, appears to have a height advantage on the NBA Finals MVP.

Goofy with Kobe Bryant

Kobe was spending the day with his family and friends, taking in as much of both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park as possible. He told me that his daughters have a new favorite attraction — The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror! But that didn’t stop them from taking a spin on the Mad Tea Party and two trips through Space Mountain.

Goofy with the Bryant family

After visiting Goofy, the Bryants were off to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

It was great to see Kobe again, and I’m guessing that the hundreds of people I saw wearing purple and gold throughout the Resort felt the same way!

  • When I heard Kobe was there, I immediately drove to Disneyland but was so bummed that I didn’t get to see him. Maybe next time. Congratulations on the new championship. GO LAKERS!!

  • My adult son sleeps and breathes Lakers..Kobe is his Favorite (the Black Mamba) Goofy is his favorite character. We are a Disney die hard family and I wish I could have been there..Happy they could celebrate at the Happiest Place on Earth!!

  • I saw Kobe at Disneyland 3 years ago when I was waiting in the handicap line for Peter Pan. I had sprained my ankle and a wheelchair was way better than those armpit bruises you get from using crutches too much. Since I was sitting, Kobe looked extra tall. My friend and I saw Kirsten Dunst that day too.

  • thats so awsome

  • Man I knew I should have went back to the park on Tuesday. Lots of Laker gear was throughout the park on Monday.

  • We were there yesterday, and saw Kobe and his family getting off of the Casey jr Train ride while we were eating at Village Haus. My husband ran out to take a picture while he waved to the crowd… BUT… the best part was when we were sitting in the lobby of the Grand Californian, and Kobe and his family came to pick up their car. We ran into them in a secluded area, and my husband got to take a picture with him one on one!! He was super nice, and his girls are too cute! It’s now my husband’s favorite picture of all time….!!

  • I was there for that! Haha, too bad I’m a Celtics fan.

  • Can’t think of a better place to celebrate – for anyone!

  • Wow, I wish I was there. I would have been way cool to see Kobe at Disneyland. But, gotta pay the bills.

  • Wow. My favorite Laker at the my most favorite place in the whole world! Wish I was there that day. That would really have been a dream come true. I LOVE DISNEYLAND AND I LOVE L.A.!

  • How cute! There is no better way to celebrate than a trip to Disneyland!

  • About five years ago I saw Kobe and his family going on It’s A Small World. He caused quite a stir in the queue and waved to us all as his boat floated into the Topiary Gardens at the beginning of the ride. His girls were very young then, and now look at them! They’ve graduated from Small World and are on to Tower of Terror! How fast precious ones grow up, I sure hope Mr. and Mrs. Bryant are enjoying these special days at Disneyland with the girls, as they’ll be grown and gone before they know it.

  • I was soooo bum when I heard Kobe was at the park today. Because of Lakers parade rumors, I was at the park for majority of the morning until I heard there was no parade. If only I stayed at the park…
