Hey Disney Parks Bloggers! We want to continue bringing you updates on the progress Disney Dream as we get ready for the launch of the ship in January of 2011.
Today we want to show you the progress of the Walt Disney Theatre, which will host some of the most elaborate productions presented at sea. The 40-foot-wide stage will include full-flying capabilities for moveable backdrops and scenery, a projection system for animated scrims and stage lifts, and the capacity for pyrotechnics.
Inspired by the red carpet and golden trophies of Hollywood award shows, this colossal show palace will be adorned in rich red and golden hues. Intertwined throughout this Art Deco-style theatre are subtle Disney decorative touches.

Dear D.C.L. and Mr Frontado,
After having been on the Wonder I can just visualize that first AWWWWWWWWWWWWW as one enters the Theater. The gold and red are perfect and bet the lighting will be awesome. We are booked for April 2011 in 2 Cabins aft. and cannot wait. As older folks taking the son and family on this Cruise I had a nifty idea for a Commercial for Disney Cruise Lines……….not that you folks need to advertise from what I read But……wish I could share it with your ad dept.
Anyhow……..thank you for the latest pictures and please ,please, keep them coming. The excitement is building so much. Am hoping to find out date and time the Dream is to enter Port Canaveral as we would sincerely like to drive up there to watch her come in.
