Have you heard? We’re unveiling some exciting plans for Disney Parks in New York City in less than 24 hours. And you bet we’ll be announcing some good stuff that you’ll want to know about. So, on Thursday we’re offering live coverage of the event here on The Disney Parks Blog. You’ll be able to watch and interact in real time as we raise the curtain on what’s coming. We don’t want to give away any of the surprises but expect to see a few faces you’ll instantly recognize along with Disney characters and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs.
The live stream begins on September 23 at 12:45 p.m. EST. We’ll also be providing updates on our @DisneyParks Twitter account and Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Facebook pages. See you back here tomorrow afternoon.

Well, just saying that since this is on DISNEY PARKS blog and tracked on WDW and Disneyland on Facebook,that this would be a park-related announcement, not Disney store. We shall see shortly, though!

Hope it is NOT a big announcment about a Disney Store opening. How boring would that be.
Now a new Partk at DW or The re opening of Adventures Club. Even a new Resort would be cool. Better yet They are finally getting rid of Fast Pass and have another way to get on the rides faster. The Fast Pass is NOT working any more. Hey what did you mean when you said you would be seeing the AC at ConGaloosh ?? Is there such a place.

I, too, hope that they will give an update on the Fantasyland expansion AND announce next year’s theme. I’d love to see another Year of a Million Dreams, Give a Day/Get a Day or something similar.
Well, they say they’re unveiling exciting plans for disney parks. Disney store and cruise line are not parks, so I would guess it’s theme park related.
barbara! exactly! this is a big media event and the new disney store in NYC is sort of old news. that would be a huge let down. people want to hear about new PARKS, LANDS, SHOWS, CELEBRATIONS, etc.
I’m really hoping they’re going to announce the “theme” for next year and any special perks, like last years Give a Day/Get a Day…

I’m hoping to hear more about the Fantasyland Forest project, and to see if there have been any tweaks to the original plans/designs; I had heard that the Imagineers were going back to the ol’ drawing board with certain aspects of the new area, so I’m curious to see what’s now in store.
I’d also like to hear about some new rides making their way to WDW — I would LOVE it if a version of Crush’s Coaster made its way across the Atlantic!
My guess is with the Disney Dream coming online next year Disney will move the Magic or Wonder to a NYC port base. Would give guests an extra day or two at sea for Caribbean tours, or may open up cool trans-Atlantic visits to the UK and Europe.
OMG….this is way to exciting. And no one has a IDEA of what is going on?
My guess, since it is almost time to release the 2012 DCL schedules and the announcement is in NYC: DCL sailing out of NY. And they will talk about the new Disney store in Times Square.
I hope it’s a new park with “thrill” rides. Can hardly wait.

I am excited to see what it is. As long as it does not involve taking rides from one park, and putting them in another. How would you ever get people to go to DCA if you put the same rides at WDW. There would be nothing drawing people out to California. (Just an example. Not saying this is happening)
