The Benefit Sale at Downtown Disney: Save & Give Back

As you know by now, I’m an avid shopper. I’m constantly on the lookout for the next great deal! But what you don’t know about me is that I’m active member in my community. I’m always looking for a way to give back and help support local initiatives in my neighborhood.

Over the past few months, our Disney Community Relations team in conjunction with Downtown Disney has been working on something BIG – something that not only gives you, our Disney Parks Guests a way to save big on Disney Theme Park Merchandise, but also offers you a way to give back to the local community. A way for us all to make a difference together.

So what’s the big idea? It’s called The Benefit Sale. The Benefit Sale is a one day shopping event that will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 5:30am – 9:30am at Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort that engages the local community and generates much needed funding for the Heart of Florida United Way and its local community agencies.

So how exactly does The Benefit Sale work? It’s very easy. All it takes is $5! To participate in The Benefit Sale, Guests must purchase a Benefit Sale Voucher from the Heart of Florida United Way or one of the participating United Way’s local partner agencies. Each Benefit Sale Voucher is $5 and all proceeds of the $5 go directly to benefit the United Way partner agencies and Heart of Florida United Way to support our community’s initiatives.

To say ‘Thank You’ for purchasing a Benefit Sale Voucher from the United Way, Disney Theme Park Merchandise wants you to save big! The Benefit Sale Voucher gives you the opportunity to enjoy early shopping opportunities with incredible discounts of up to 50% – 75% off select merchandise items, special doorbusters, surprise markdowns and more at participating Walt Disney World Downtown Disney Merchandise locations such as World of Disney, Once Upon A Toy, Disney Days of Christmas, D-Street and more!

While I can’t give away all of the great deals that you’ll find at The Benefit Sale, I can let you in on a few secret offers… at The Benefit Sale, you will get the chance to save big on select Toys & Plush and apparel for the entire family.
