Please join me in congratulating these athletes!
I ran the Disney Half Marathon yesterday for the 1st time (my first half marathon) and had a blast!!! An expierience I will never forget!! I will be there next year!!! Too fun!
It was my first time running as well! I had the fortune of running beside my wife and experiencing this wonderful event with her. We had a great time together and plan on doing it for as many years to come as we can!
We were so touched by the racers and passersby when we came across some racers at the end who walked the route. You can see they were very tired and pushing for some energy. They were almost at the end and people stopped on the streets to cheer them on and give them high fives. It was so awesome to see!!!
It was so cool volunteering for this event. 5 shifts and 28 hours later I see how great these runners did. Whether they came in first or last they are spectacular individuals. The oldest runner was 83 years old! Way to go runners! Hope to see you all next year!
I also ran the Disneyland Half Marathon on Sunday. My first race ever! It was so mucg fun, I plan to run it again next year. Thank you Disney for a great race!
