Recently, morning television viewers across the country saw a special reunion at Disneyland park, when co-stars Robby Benson and Paige O’Hara reunited for some satellite television interviews in celebration of the Blu-ray™ high-definition debut of Disney’s animated masterpiece, “Beauty and the Beast.”

During one interview, Robby and Paige shared their favorite moments from the film. For Paige, it’s the “Something There” scene where the characters are playing in the snow, in particular, the moment when a bird is eating birdseed out of the Beast’s hand. For Robby, it was very simple, it’s “anytime Paige sings!”

The reunion took place at the Princess Fantasy Faire, which, once upon a time, was where a live version of “Beauty and the Beast” once thrilled Disneyland park guests from 1992 – 1995. A long-running and much beloved version of that same show featuring Robby’s vocal performance as Beast has become a family favorite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort.

After the interviews were complete, we decided that we wanted to go outside for an official portrait of Robby, Paige, Belle and Beast for the Disney Parks Blog. Enjoy!

  • That is great! I wish they would bring it back! The last show running there was Snow White more than a few years ago. It was a great show and I enjoyed watching it, we need something new other than just the Princess Fantasy faire.

  • I wish they still did a show at the park. I never got to see it,and now I have a 3 yr old little girl that has loved beauty and the beast for a entire year. That along time for a kid lol.

  • I agree – bring back a show to Disneyland! The Snow White show was wonderful – I miss the stage shows. Princess Fantasy Faire is just a glorified meet-n-greet 🙁

  • I love seeing Belle and the Beast in the picture.

My question now becomes, how come the Beast is NEVER out for pictures with park guests unless its a special occasion (the 55th anniversary for one). I miss seeing him, and to see them together would have been the most magical thing ever during my trip about a month ago

  • wish they’d bring it back to Disneyland, would be very popular, I agree with others, the Princess Fantasy Faire isn’t that thrilling or fun. We Love Beauty and the Beast! Even my two year old son loves it, he calls it “beast”. 🙂

  • I love Beauty and the Beast and I truly miss a musical in that stage a time to enjoy a show while you rest your feet lol!! I have an Disneyland annual pass how many more times can I see that stage empty with nothing going on. Come on Disney keep our dreams and Memories alive bring a show we can all enjoy. Thanks for everything

  • I agree, bring back the stage shows. Those were great the whole family enjoyed them no matter what the age. We all liked to see the different stories brought to life.

  • Is there any way to watch the video of this interview online?
