See What’s Cooking at Karamell-Küche

A few weeks ago I had the chance to tell you about one of our newest authentic experiences in Epcot’s World Showcase, the new caramel kitchen in the Germany Pavilion, Karamell-Küche. I don’t think that words quite do justice to the sights of Caramel Apples, Caramel Covered Strawberries and my personal favorite, the freshly made Caramel Corn.

So I asked fellow blogger, Steven Miller, to venture out to the Germany Pavilion so he could show you firsthand the mouthwatering treats that our cast members are cooking up for you every day.

So now that you know the treats that Steven and I crave, what caramel confections are you looking forward to trying when you visit Karamell-Küche?

  • We were there at the beginning of Oct and my daughter in law and I had to go there twice it was so good! Yes they have fresh made carmel corn.

  • OMG> We will be there in January and will be stopping and indulging in this!!! Yay Disney!

  • I cannot wait til my next trip to Epcot (Whenever that may be!) A caramel apple will definitely be on my list of things I HAVE to have! World Showcase is so much fun… eating, shopping, and just that feeling of unity and humanity you get with the countries there… in harmony.

  • I can’t wait to try the goodies. I will be there Thurday with my family. My daughter Lara loves the strawberries. Yum. That cupcake looks to died for.

  • Is the Caramel Corn going to be sold hot and fresh like it used to be made in Liberty Square???

  • Any plans for a Karamell-Küche at Downtown Disney? My husband and I live in Florida, near Orlando, and love to go to Downtown Disney. We don’t always want to visit the Parks, we just want to shop, and Downtown Disney is the perfect place for that. We would love to be able to buy goodies from Karamell-Küche at Downtown Disney!!!

  • I am dissappointed at Werther’s in that they did not continue to make the Chocolate Caramael Coconut topped Chocolate Cookie that had been at the Germany Pavilion Sweet Shop used to sell. It is made with caramel so maybe Werther’s can make it again in time for my visits in December 2010 and again in March 2011.

  • Can’t wait to try these out in June! The Dining Plan should offer this as a meal option! lol

  • Dara, does the store sell through mail order or online? I’d love to get some treats for the Christmas holidays, but won’t be able to get down there any time soon.
    Thanks for your help!

  • The white cupcake with white frosting, drizzled in caramel being eaten by the mom at the end of the video is WONDERFUL! We split one on our trip a couple of weeks ago, and it was perfect! Enjoy whenever you get to have one for yourself!

  • Oh I am so there. We will be in Disney tomorrow and I can’t wait. This is a dream come true Thanks Disney for always making our trips new and exciting

  • I walked through there earlier this month…smells heavenly!!

  • 30 days from today I will be eating one of those strawberries! Yummy!

  • We will have to make a special stop at Epcot when we are in town April 2011 for a cruise. Since we were last at Disney in 2005 all my husband has talked about is the German Pretzels; me personally, carmael is MY thing – so I will be all over that!!!

  • will be trying one of those strawberries in about a month! ! ! oh yeah! cant wait

  • Yum, yum and yum. Caramel apples are the best. They are great in the Magic Kingdom and I can’t wait to try them here. Especially since it’s authentic Werther’s. (Also, love the music in the video)

  • That looks so appetizing! I love caramel! I walk past this shop all the time. I usually go for a pretzel and beer. Looks like this will be on my to-do list next time I’m there.
