Sorcerer Mickey Takes His Place on the Disney Dream

The Disney Magic has Goofy, the Disney Wonder has Donald and the Disney Dream will have none other than the main mouse himself, Sorcerer Mickey!

Carefully sculpted by Walt Disney Imagineering, the iconic mouse and his enchanted broomsticks, from the classic Disney animated film “Fantasia,” will serve as a prominent focal point for the new ship.

Check out this behind-the-scenes video showing the creation of the massive installation.

As you can see, Sorcerer Mickey is now in position on the stern of the Disney Dream.

Sorcerer Mickey and ‘Fantasia’ Characters on the Disney Dream Stern

  • I saw her leaving the huge hall of the papenburg ship yard on Saturday, oct.30 I just happened to be visiting there. I fell in love with her and, once back in NY, I booked my entire family of 5 on the April 21 cruise.
    Very exciting.

  • Wow!!! is wonderful!!! this is really a DREAM!!!:) thanks to all that makes it all happen… I wish someday I can be part of it!… 🙂 Thanks!

  • I hope some day we will be able to go on this ship. That would be a DREAM come true for my Family.

  • That is so cute! Sorcerer Mickey is one of my husband’s favorite characters, so when we saw this we were so excited! We have our cruise on the Dream booked for next October. CAN’T WAIT!

  • I would LOVE to take a disney cruise on the “Dream” maybe someday.

  • Amazing!!!! Love all the stern ornaments and cant wait to see this one in person! The ship looks gorgeous and huge!! Sailing Feb 27th with 3 fellow Disney Princesses!

  • It’s so exciting, I can’t wait until September to be aboard!!!!!

  • Everything Disney does is WONDERFUL…

  • Cool!!! I didn’t realize they did this on all their ships.

I thought the Donald one on the Wonder was way too funny. If you haven’t seen it, check out the Donald one on the Wonder, those mischievous nephews always have it in for poor ol’ Donald…. What an amazing ship that was. It was the ultimate finish to our Disney Vacation in 2009.

We are booked for the Dream in February 2011…. I can’t Wait to relive the memories and to embark on the many new fabulous, magical, adventures the Dream has in store.

  • I am sure it will be just as exciting seeing Mickey on the Dream as it has been seeing the other character on the Wonder and Magic. Unfortunately it will have to wait another year because I am taking the Alaskan cruise in August on the Wonder.

  • I love it!!!!

  • I like Sorcerer Mickey the best, but I’m book on the Disney Fantasy. Any word on which character will be on the Fantasy?

  • I love it. I can’t wait until April when we will be going on our first cruise.I just love that we are sailing on the Dream in April.

  • We are taking our first cruise in July on the Dream can’t wait !!!
