Moms Panel: Our Newest Memory Makers Join the Team

The 2011 Walt Disney World Moms Panel

A hibachi chef, a pastor, one British “mum,” two Canadians, two non-profit workers, four teachers, three stay-at-home moms and one special aunt are part of the fifteen newest members of The Walt Disney World Moms Panel who start vacation planning today! Now entering its fourth year, Disney Parks began the search for new panelists last fall and had an unprecedented amount of applications.

“This year’s Moms Panel search generated the most applications we have ever received.” said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “The Moms Panel has become an integral part of the Disney vacation planning process. We deeply appreciate all that the panelists have done to help guests create magical memories with Disney, and look forward to what our new members will offer to families in 2011.”

As the popularity of the website has steadily increased, guests have requested “Specialty Moms” to give advice and tips about other Disney destinations. The site now hosts Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney Moms and today the website debuts the first Disney Vacation Club Moms.

Also helping to spread the magic, Oscar-winning actress and mom to three, Geena Davis shares her own personal tips and treasured Disney memories in an exclusive Moms Panel video, available in the “Celebrity Disney Mom” video library at www.DisneyWorldMoms.com.

For vacation planning advice, visit the 15 new panel members and the 30 returning panelists at www.DisneyWorldMoms.com.

  • I agree with Rachel! We need a Disneyland Moms Panel! Congrats to all the new members on the WDW panel, but Disneyland has moms too! 🙂 I’ve been to WDW and LOVE it, but I consider Disneyland my “home” park and I know a lot more about that destination. For that matter, some day I want to go to Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris Disney Parks too. (Like the people at Disney need MORE to do . . . we want more panels!) 🙂 LOL!

But really, congrats to all of you who made it onto the panel! Your information will be helpful to many people, I’m sure.

  • Congrats to the new class! can’t wait to hear from you.

  • Congratulations to one and all, but especially the newest rep from Little Rhody! Do us proud, we know you will!

  • You should add a Disney Weddings and Honeymoons “Mom” to the panel!

  • Congratulations to the newest DMP additions!!!

  • I wish they had a moms panel for Disneyland. I would of applyed. I do not know much about Disneyworld but i know everything there is to know about Disneyland. My first time in the park was when I was four months old. And I have gone almost every year since. Disneyland makes me feel like a kid again every time I enter those gates. Congrats to the lucky few who get to enjoy the parks in a whole new way.

  • I’ve tried every year to be part of this panel, maybe someday I will make it. I love helping people plan trips and love it when people ask me to help them. I want them to have the best experience possible and some people don’t know where to start, but they know I’m a good place to begin.

  • Congratulations Everyone!!!!!

  • Way to Go Angelo! Jeff and I are so proud of you! When Sophia is old enough to take we want you to help us plan our first family trip to Disney! Congratulations!
    Love, Jeff and Missy

  • Kudos on your first non-parent panelist! I’m only sad it wasn’t me. I’ll be trying again next year for the 4th time, though!

  • I agree with Jason and Chris; every year, there is at least 1 Dad on the panel. Could we change the name to the parents panel or something less gender specific. I don’t apply because I don’t want the guys at work ribbing me about being on a “Mom’s” anything.

  • Congratulations and welcome to all the new members! I know they will do Disney proud!! ♥

  • Congratulations Everyone!!!! This is a Dream of Mine!!! I will definitly try again next year!!! Looks like another AMAZING Disney Experience…..Helping others plan their Disney Dream Vacations…..Ahhhhh, the priceless memories!! I even teared up watching the video….YES, these mom’s are just like me!!!

  • Haha! I agree Jason. I tried, but I am single and male. I guess that was two counts against me. 🙂

  • Congratulations to everyone!!! 🙂

  • Mom’s Panel might not be the right description…it looks like there’s a few boys in the picture too!
