The 18th Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is less than a week away and today we’re sharing a peek behind the scenes as we work our last few days of magic in the greenhouses. During the annual festival, we fill Epcot with millions of blooms and more than 100 topiaries, many that look just like your favorite characters from Disney animated films.
For the first time, we’re debuting several new topiaries based on characters from Disney-Pixar classics, including the “Toy Story” and “Cars” films. We’ll show you Mater and Lightning McQueen in a future post, but here’s a little video tour shot as we prepped topiaries of Woody and Buzz Lightyear to take their place just inside Epcot’s front gate.
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival starts next Wednesday, March 2, and runs through May 15.

I fully enjoyed looking at each and every topiary when I was there last week. The detail is amazing. I was bummed that the Cars topiaries weren’t there yet though. Can’t wait to see that post when it comes up.
Can’t wait to see the beautiful gardens and topiaries this weekend!
We can’t wait to see these! We will be at Epcot ALL day this Friday! This just makes this Disney trip a little extra special!
I am looking forward to seeing the Gardens. We will be in Disney mid April for our family Celebration. It’s so exciting. YAH!!!
We will be there at the beginning of may. Glad we get to take part this time.
Do you know if they will keep the same displays the entire time or will they be switched out for new ones as the festival goes on?
Love seeing the videos with Eric, he is a wealth of information and an all around great guy who loves his job! Thanks

Hi Lauren!
I saw an Eeyore topiary on the Behind the Magic tour… Rabbit, Piglet, Pooh and Tigger too.. so I’m sure he’ll be there somewhere!
Beautiful beautiful beautiful !!
I was able to see these topiaries “in progress” during a “Behind the Magic” tour last October… it was so cool to see them growing into what you see in these pics and clips! I cant wait to go see them all finished during my trip in March!
Wow, this blog post totally made my day. I am so beyond excited for this year’s Flower and Garden Festival and will be there next Friday, March 4th to see it all. The character topiaries are my favorite thing about going to the festival each year and this year is no exception. Buzz and Woody look so great. I can’t wait to see them in person. And I am really looking forward to seeing your upcoming blog post on the Lightning McQueen and Mater topiaries.
I have a question, though. I know there will be a Winnie the Pooh topiary display and I believe I spotted Rabbit in the video you posted. My question is: will there be an Eeyore topiary??? He’s my favorite character from Winnie the Pooh so I hope he’s included. Thanks.
absolutly amazing I wish I could take my huge Toy Story loving 2 year old daughter down to see them!!!
