Last week, Shannon thought it would be fun to see who was celebrating a special anniversary at Disneyland Resort and she had no problem finding some great stories. Well, same here. It didn’t take long to find a few favorite answers to today’s Valentine’s Day question, “What’s your most romantic Walt Disney World memory?”
Those stories made me smile. Now, it’s your turn. Please share your romantic Disney Parks story in the comments.

I graduated in June 2009. My boyfriend Matt took to me to Disney World for my graduation present. Our first day there he told me the first thing I had to see was Cinderella’s castle. So we checked in and went right to the castle. A photo pass photographer was taking pictures he said let’s get our picture taken. We had just spent hours in the car a picture was the last thing I wanted to do but I went with it. He grad our camera and started to mass with it. There was a line so I turned to apologies to the photo pass lady and the people in line. The photographer then says “ OH “ and begins to take pictures and I turn to see my boyfriend on one knee right in front of Cinderella’s Castle. He say “My full name that he can’t live without me and Will You Marry Me” I then said “yes”and started to cry. So June 15, 2009 we got engaged. The photo pass lady to over 45 pictures she got it all and I couldn’t be happier. He picked the perfect place and the perfect spot. We are getting married July 31, 2011, and we have already planned our honeymoon back to Disney World, were we are hoping to make lots more romantic and other memories though out our lives.
I spent my honeymoon in WDW, I got to share my DH first experience of being WDW with him and it was amazing. He is now as addicted as I am. Last yr we had the pleasure of staying at the POlynesian CL and everything was amazing, on our anniversary my husband ordered room service, rented a mouse boat, we had dinner at Narcossee and watched Wishes on the deck. He even ordered flowers from disneyflorist in a Mickey vase that he always puts the flowers in that he gets me at home.
I have fond memories of falling asleep together in a hammock on the Poly beach, getting coffee from the CL and racing down to the beach to watch the sunrise. Dancing on Main St in the middle of the afternoon parade in magic kingdom. So many more but I dont want to take up all the space! LOL
Sunset dinner with my new wife, on the water at Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian. The small ferry landing and driving off, The sunset on the lake and great food and drink. November 1995 I will never forget it!
Happy Festival to all.
I believe 5 years later in Shanghai Disneyland, there will be a huge ceremony for this festival.
24 years ago my husband proposed to me at snow white’s wishing well,at Disneyland, it was totally planned ring and all. when we got to the parking lot he drove up by where the trams load opened up the sunroof of the van, stood up and yelled “I asked her to marry me and she said yes!” people clapped and cheered! 17 years later we celebrated our 16th anniversary at Cinderella’s royal table at Disney World, he secretly brought a glass slipper pillow and had it at my spot as we sat down, the waiter brought us special champagne flutes and asked him if he would like to say anything, and yes he did he got up in front of everyone in the restaurant and gave a speech about our anniversary, and everyone applauded and congratulated us. Disney has always been romantic for us and when we decided to run the WDW half marathon this past January, we thought it appropriate that we run in costume, no other than snow white and prince charming. Goes to show how things go full circle. Disney = LOVE
My most romantic moment happened this past January at Cinderella’s Castle during Wishes. They’re my favorite fireworks in the world, and my favorite thing to see in Disney. And now they’re even more special to me, because this time, I got my dream proposal! My fiancé proposed to me right at the end when the Blue Fairy says to make a wish… It was perfect!
TO RYAN! Thats super cute my fiance did the same thing and we are going on out honey moon in Disney in FL when are you getting married and congrats!
Most romantic moment was our honeymoon spent at the Grand Floridian resort October, 1997. During our magical stay we purchased a memorial brick on the walkway to the TTC so our magic will live forever!
October 2009: my then boyfriend proposed to me in one of the phone booths at the UK pavilion in Epcot! I love England and I love Disney so it was perfect! We had a nice romantic meal at the Maya Grill at Coronado Springs to celebrate and loved showing off our just engaged pins! We are getting married this weekend and honeymooning on the Disney Dream and WDW in 2 weeks!!! I’m sure we’ll have new romantic memories after that!!
There are so many memories we have of Disney, but one we forgot to add was that we spent the day after our wedding at EPCOT on the last day of the Food and Wine Festival with our families. It was a blast and all the cast members made us feel so special!
#1 – Our most romantic WDW memories ever were in December 2009. We went to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and wanted to stay the whole time at the Grand Floridian (the most romantic resort ever!), but we could only get reservations for 1 week of our 2 week vacation, so we chose the Boardwalk for the rest of our stay, since it also has Victorian architecture and we had never been there before.
After we checked in and went to our room, I opened our hotel room door to find that my hubby had pre-ordered the Minnie Ears Bride Headband for me, the Mickey Ears Groom Top Hat for him, along with my favorite sparkling wine (Magicale), cheese and chocolates, 2 etched Mickey head champagne flutes, as well as 2 “Happy Anniversary” buttons for our anniversary! After we got home, we ordered 2 additional champagne flutes from them, so we could have them to share when friends come over. When we checked into the Grand Floridian, we received a bottle of champagne, a long-stemmed red rose, and Happy Anniversary wishes from the hotel, which were a nice surprise!
We wore our ears and buttons in the parks, were chosen to help open Animal Kingdom the day we went there and received a special photo pass photo, along with 2 fast passes to the attraction of our choice (Expedition Everest!) for it! We also had a romantic photo taken of us by the Photo Pass Photographer, in front of the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom as part of our vacation package! I bought the special bride and groom Mickey & Minnie photo frame to put the photo in and it is now on display in our home, for all our friends to see! We topped off our most romantic WDW vacation ever with a wonderful dinner at our favorite restaurant in the resort, Victoria & Albert’s.
Happy Valentine’s Day to Barry, my best Valentine ever, for more than 32 years!!
My most romantic moment at Disney World was last spring, when we took a few moments away from the relatives and kids to have a relaxing pint of beer and some wonderful conversation at the Rose and Crown Pub in Epcot. The woman playing piano even did a special request for us.
My husband and I went to Disney World in 1999 on a high school band trip. In the 22 hour bus ride from Ohio to Florida we got to know each other. By the time we got to Disney we were two high school kids in love! Completely inseperable, it was a dream come true to be teenagers and have three days of exploring the parks together with our friends.
We’ve been in love ever since, and our two year wedding anniversary will be in June! Disney will always be a special place for us, since we can say it was where we fell in love.
December 29th 2010 I got engaged in front of the Cinderella Castle during the fire work show, it was very magical !
My husband and I followed the Spectro-Magic parade down main street all the way to the castle, and right when we stopped to kiss, the lights came back on!
Christmas Day Dinner 12/25/2010. At the wine celler in California Adventure. Very cozy, and special.
I surprised my girlfriend on her birthday in 2008 by taking her to Disneyland; we had such a great time there together that it gave me that little bit of encouragement I needed to take the next step. In 2009 I planned another surprise trip back to Disneyland where I proposed on NYE from the Dream Suite balcony overlooking the final of our favourite Disney attraction/show, Fantasmic.
Now we’re both counting down the days until our Disney honeymoon!
