Disney Dream Portraits by Annie Leibovitz: Behind The Scenes With Alec Baldwin as the Spirit of the Magic Mirror

Concluding our look behind the scenes of the latest Disney Dream Portraits by Annie Leibovitz, we have a video of Alec Baldwin as he prepares for his ultimate close-up as the Spirit of the Magic Mirror. Unlike the other photo shoots we’ve discussed here on the Disney Parks Blog, Alec had no costume and no set on which to stand. It was all about the face.

His photo was shot in New York City last December at the end of a long day for Alec, who came directly to the studio, somehow full of energy after wrapping on “30 Rock” for the day.

Instead of playing music on this shoot, the actual dialog and music from this scene in “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was played – and Alec knew every single line the mirror spoke. He recited the entire scene while Annie was shooting him!

In this video, I talk to Alec about what it means to work with Annie Leibovitz, his encyclopedic knowledge of Disney film dialogue and his favorite Disney Parks memory – an early morning trip to Disneyland park after a rainstorm.

Alec was encouraged to show a wide range of emotion during the shoot, and these photos capture that range perfectly.
