The endurance events at Disney Parks attract runners from around the world. And, bless their hearts, runners wearing all sorts of colorful costumes and outfits. It’s one of the things that makes a runDisney race, well, magical.
Take the recent Disney’s Princess Half Marathon at Walt Disney World, for instance. Talk about fashion statements. Check out this video slideshow of some of the more decorative runners who ran in the 13.1-mile race.

Getting your costume ready leading up to the race is half the fun of doing the race. Plus there is so much to look at while you are racing, from groups of woman dressed in Disney character sets to amazing frogs and princes. Jump in with your whole heart and be part of the fun!
I am reminded of how we are all kids at heart when I see the amazing costumes at the Princess Half-Marathon. We never grow out of playing dress-up. I liked the woman who had stuck a little pink jewel in each tiny hole of her mesh Nike running shoes. She said it took her months to finish – a little each night in front of the TV. I think I might steal her idea for next year!
I love how everyone is sweaty and has ice packs strapped to them, but no one cares about that – they’re all so happy about finishing!
congrats to all the runners – you all make WONDERFUL princesses °o°
Love all the great costumes.
Where were these photographers when I ran the inaugural with Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Cinderella & Snow White and sported a 3 foot sequined tail for 13.1 miles that smacked at least 200 people. Everyone was very understanding after they saw what hit them. Can’t wait to do the 5th anniversary race in 13.
