Look who it is – Lots-o’-Huggin Bear has joined Buzz Lightyear and Woody at this year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. As Debbie shared earlier on the Disney Parks Blog, we’ve debuted several new topiaries based on characters from Disney-Pixar classics, including the “Toy Story” and “Cars” films. And here’s a new look at how our latest character was added to the park.
You can see “Lotso” now through May 15 during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

Thank you for sharing this.
I was there the second day of the Flower and Garden Show and it was so fun to search the park looking for the topiaries. I was with another family and we thought we were crazy trying to find Lightning and Mater. Finally we asked a cast member who told us they weren’t ready yet. I hope once they are you’ll post some pictures and video. My boys would really enjoy seeing them.
Was just there for spring break and saw Lotso. He looks great and smells like strawberries. This is our third year going to the Flower and Garden Festival and it was great.
That’s amazing. I always wondered what it looked like when they were assembling a topiary display. Flower & Garden is my absolute favorite time at WDW. I’ve been to 4 of them since 2005 and each of them has been amazing in their own way. I wish we could go this year.
It really is magic what Disney does! I’m so excited to visit the parks in early May, this will be my first time getting to see the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. During my other trips to Disney I always thought how wonderful the flora and fauna was, this is just over the top amazing!
With some topiary characters not being installed until after the opening of F&G, is it possible some or most will still be on display for a while after the official end? I arrive May 18th and would love to see the flora & fauna even if all the presentations & other “events” were over…
Thanks for sharing this insider’s look into what it takes to bring such cool topiary scenes to IF&G.
I’m really amazed by the amount of work and people that it takes. It’s so easy to just enjoy the final product, but to now undertand even better all the hard work that goes into each and every display, my appreciation is even greater.
Thanks to all that work so hard to create the magic!
We Loved it, My wife and I had a great time seeing all of the topiaries and flower gardens. Just Beautiful !!!!!
I have to say, I’m glad the Lotso topiary finally got added to the Flower and Garden Festival. He’s really cute. However, I am really disappointed that I wasn’t able to see the Lotso, Lightning McQueen, or Mater topiaries when I attended the first weekend of the Flower and Garden Festival at the beginning of March. I attend the Flower and Garden Festival during it’s first week every year as it’s my favorite WDW festival and I always want to be among the first guests to see all the topiaries. So I just wanted to express my disappointment, as well as others attending the festival that I spoke to, on all the topiaries not being out and ready on the first day of the festival. I realize things happen, but it was just upsetting to not see 3 of the topiaries that I was most looking forward to seeing.
…but does it smell like strawberries? 🙂
Can’t wait to go 04/29-05/08. Best time of year to visit and Epcot always looks amazing!!!
This is so amazing!! I have never been to the Flower & Garden Festival but I am looking forward to attending it one year. After seeing all the awesome topiaries you have created, it is now a must do on my bucket list :> Thanks for making Disney even more magical to me.
So much love for such a nasty villain.
