It won’t be long now before Star Tours re-launches and “The Adventures Continue” at both Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California! But where in the galaxy are we going?

We know a lot of you have been wondering and asking, and today we are happy to reveal the final destinations you can expect to visit when Star Tours resumes service. You already know we’re going to Tatooine for the Boonta Eve Podrace and to Coruscant.

Star Tours: Where in the Galaxy Are We Going?

Additional destinations include a visit to the beautiful planet of Naboo, a rare tour of the Wookiee planet of Kashyyyk, and a trip to the icy planet Hoth (seen above in a still image from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back).

Of course, no Star Tours adventure would be complete without an unexpected visit to the Death Star, this time above the planet Geonosis.

In addition, we’ll be departing from a spectacular new Spaceport, created just for the new Star Tours voyages.

Star Tours: Where in the Galaxy Are We Going?

As revealed earlier, these destinations will be combined in more than 50 different story adventures, so you’ll never know where the Force will take you!

  • Connor–
In a previous blog post, Tom said “for all you Rex fans, don’t worry – we have a spot for him in the new show!”

So it seems that Rex will be somewhere in the new Star Tours attraction. 🙂

  • Cool! I’ll be there from May 15th to May 23rd. I hope there is something for D23 members before the official launch (hint, hint!).

  • Can we ACTUALLY go to Endor??? Also can Paul Reubens (REX) make a cameo??

  • we will be heading to florida during star wars weekends ! this is going to be great ! i will be riding this ride all day just to see how many adventures i will have .

  • Thank you for the update! My family will be taking a vacation to Disneyland this July and we all cannot wait to ride it. I love the new departure screen. Thanks again for the update!!

  • I’m still waiting for a Star Wars theme restaurant to go in to the Hollywood Studios to replace the “backstage” looking one between Indy and Star Tours. I’d like to eat and be serenaded by the famous Cantina band, or that singer with the long lips from Jedi in Jabba’s lair.

  • AP previews? When will we be able to find out about the AP previews?

    Thanks

  • 50?! I just finished memorizing the old Star Wars story so I could follow along. Gotta start memorizing all those adventures ASAP, going to need at least 100 rides to get them 🙂

  • I can’t wait to go on the new Star Tours, I can see myself making a lot of repeat trips! I last rode it at Last Tour to Endor (which was an absolute blast) and can’t wait to see the new ride!

  • Hey, Jennifer. This ride is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, so Alderaan was at least a possible destination.

  • I’m with Cindy and also wondering about the 3-D aspect of the show. My 10 year old son can’t see 3-D either. Will he be able to watch it? How will it affect the view?

  • Oh.. scratch that. No Alderaan, either? Blah.

  • Wish we could go to Dagobah and Kamino, too. 🙁 But I’m thrilled we’ll get to see Alderaan and Coruscant. 😀

  • I am torn by the upgrade. My husband a “big” fan of the Star Wars ride since opening day. He is unable to see 3D. I know there are many people out there with the same condition. Will all of the tours be 3D???

  • I also hope for a “soft opening”! I’ll be in the parks 5/8-5/15! lol

  • I’ll reserve judgment. I was really not a fan of the prequel series. Hopefully this ride will be great.

  • Donny…sorry to break this to you, but Alderaan kinda exploded…a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

Can not wait to ride this when we go to WDW! We’ll have to set aside a full day to ride only Star Tours!

  • Where are Alderaan and Mustafar??!??

  • Will there be any soft openings, or preview parties like they had for World of COlor and elecTRONica? Please say yes LOL

  • Will the Fastpasses used in Disneyland and Disney World have the same logos as before or will they be entirely new logos?

  • My husband is a huge fan of Star Wars and our daughters just loved the original Star Tours ride, we can’t wait!

  • We have a trip planned for this Dec and my 10-yr old son has been DYING for this news -now he really can’t wait to get there! I like the fact that we can ride it multiple times without memorizing the dialog! 🙂

  • Awww man! This isn’t good news for me…I already run out of time to do all I want to do whenever I go to the parks. Now I’m going to spend all my days just getting back in line for this ride over and over again! It’s all good…I’ll survive somehow. 🙂

Can’t wait to ride this when it reopens!

  • Awesome!!! Our boys look at the website everday!

  • Margaret–I’ve heard that the exact number will be 54 different story experiences. 🙂

  • I bet she’ll do the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs!

  • OH. My. Goodness. This sounds AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIFTY different options???????????? HOLY COW!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Very Exciting News, thank you. I am so happy that the ride will rarely be the same experience twice! Well done!

  • Going to Disney in July, cant wait to do this ride!

  • Absolutely excited! Cannot wait!!

  • I am hoping for Soft Opening for Star Wars and Little Mermaid when my bff and I are in the parks May 19-23!

  • I’m sorry, but even though there isn’t anything outlandish in this post, I’m still weary of some sort of April Fools joke. Bad day to be taken seriously.

  • Awesome. I can not wait to ride the new version. I loved the old one and sure I will love this one as well. 🙂

  • Sounds awesome Tom, thanks for the update! 🙂
