This October, the Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate its 40th anniversary. As we prepare for our celebration, we’ve shared some first looks at limited edition 40th anniversary park merchandise. Here are some of our top ways to sport Disney gear and celebrate with us.

  • I was wondering if there was going to be a WDW 40th Anniversary Collector’s plate?

  • Always wondered why I was such a HUGE WDW fan..Maybe because I am turning 40 as well and was there the first year when they opened in 1971….

    I have literally seen EVERY change that has occured over 40 years….

    Walt Disney World is truly a special place that have given me many memories I will never forget..

  • I love this collage – will a poster print be available in the parks or online?

    I’m disappointed there hasn’t been a formal celebration announced, other than the merchandise (which is fantastic). Disneyland had a great promotion for its 40th anniversary, and the WDW marketing campaigns are constantly telling us to “Celebrate Today.” What are we doing to “Celebrate” 40 years of magic in Walt Disney World, besides selling some new merch (again, I love the merchandise, but more of a celebration is deserved, to be sure!).
