There’s so much happening around here! This week I debated what to blog about but decided to pick a topic that would be the envy of those on land and at sea.
With just under a month to go before the opening of Disney California Adventure park’s newest attraction, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, I thought I’d show you some of the treasures, thingamabobs and whatchamacallit’s that you can look forward to finding in some of our nearby stores.
First up on the list of ‘must have’ items would have to be the apparel. Not only will you make a splash when you hit the streets in your Little Mermaid inspired clothing, but now your little ones can, too! Like to accessorize? My pick is definitely the Little Mermaid scarf. There’s something for almost everyone, or at least everyone who considers Ariel among their favorite Disney characters.
Where can I find these, you ask? Here are a few insider tips:
Embarcadero Gifts is a new location, located right across from The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction. The location will open to park guests in early June. Passholders take note here, on May 31 and June 1, you’ll have the ‘first look’ at the new location and merchandise, including a special commemorative coin, created just for you. In search of other who’s-its and what’s-its then be sure to dive in to Treasures in Paradise.
“X” will mark the spot for all of these treasures this Summer, so be sure to stop in and take a look, but before you do, find out more about what’s ‘in store’ at www.ArtofDisneyParks.com.

The little mermaid is my favorite movie too! I was born in 86′ and have treasured Ariel and her friends almost all my life. I booked a room at the resort for Saturday to spend Sunday waiting in line for the new ride 🙂 even though we both live 20 minutes away from Disneyland!

Everything us so ugly! It could have been so cute and I would have bought two if everything! I thought Disney was getting much better designers raising the bar for souviners. I love the retro art and vynalmation the cuties line and they have had some cute clothes lately. Disney couture is super cute! Yikes this little mermaid stuff is bad! This looks like super tacky junk I wouldn’t spend or when I’m buying for me or the kids in my life.

I’m so excited!!!! Is there any guess at how much the collector coin will cost? My 21st birthday is shortly after the release of the Little Mermaid ride, so this could be an awesome present. Thanks for letting us know!!!
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love the Little Mermaid (and Disney). I am so excited for the new merchandise because I have always been upset at the lack of Ariel merchandise in the parks.

Question will there be coffee for those like me (and probaly only me) who just came from Grade Nite (June 2) striaght for the openings.
I’m sure some of the food locations nearby will be geared up to sell coffee that morning. Grad Nite should be a blast! Have fun!

Will this merchandise be available online for purchase?
Hi Veronica! It looks like some of the items will be available online in late summer. However, the product is set to hit stores in early June, so I would recommend contacting Disneyland Merchandise Guest Services at 800.362.4533 around that time.
Are the coins only available those two days? Or for a longer period time because I really want one!
Hey there Elizabeth! The coins will actually be available starting May 31st, while supplies last. Don’t wait to long to pick one up.
I cannot wait for this attraction to open. I’ve been wanting to see an Ariel ride in the park for over 20 yrs. I’ll probably be in tears walking of the ride (but happy Disney loving tears) and running over to buy everything from the new shop ^_^
is the ariel merchandise only for woman? no ariel stuff for men? 🙁
Hey Maribel! It looks like most of the product, has been created for women. But I can tell you there are some great collectible and souvenirs items coming out that I know the guys will love.
We’ve been waiting to see what Ariel merchandise would be released, as Ariel is my husband’s favorite princess. I wish the coin wasn’t just for passholders! I love the other merch. Can’t wait to see it in person!
