Quick-Serve Dinner Favorites at Disneyland Resort

We love a leisurely dinner, but when we want one more drop on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure park or on the Matterhorn Bobsleds in Disneyland park, we look for a quick bite. But we still want delicious.

Here are our favorites, tell us yours!

If we’re dashing between parks, we go slightly out of our way for a slice of pizza from the wood-burning ovens at Napolini at Downtown Disney – easy to eat and stroll back to the parks.

Quick-Serve Dinner Favorites at Disneyland Resort

Our hands-down favorite in Disneyland park is Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland: the Citrus Fire-grilled chicken, the chicken Caesar salad, the tres leches cake. A close second is the new fried green tomato sandwich at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country. Or the tried-and-true French Market in New Orleans Square, where we always order the Plantation Citrus Chicken, a roasted chicken breast with secret citrus and Cajun spices with smashed potatoes, veggies and a hunk of cheddar corn bread.

Award Wieners at Disney California Adventure Park

At Disney California Adventure park we’re partial to the choice of hot dogs at Award Wieners, or if we’re waiting for Soarin’ Over California, we dash into Taste Pilot’s Grill for messy ribs and fries or a fresh salad with grilled chicken breast if we’re behaving. Easy walk-around food is on the menu at Lucky Fortune Cookery, where we love the chicken with Thai coconut curry with a side of edamame to share. If we just want a sandwich for the road, Baker’s Field Bakery will wrap up a roast beef, ham or turkey.

And we admit it, we love the giant roasted turkey legs – and recommend sharing. Don Toma’s at Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure park and Edelweiss Snacks in Fantasyland in Disneyland park are dependable stops for the massive meat fix – we always feel a little silly, but hey, indulge.

  • Yesterday I finally tried the sweet potato fries from the Hungry Bear, and they are awesome!

  • French Market in New Orleans Square. I must have the New England Clam Chowder in a bread bowl every time. I also love the chicken at Rancho del Zocalo.

  • Tangierine Cafe: Morocco, Epcot

Ah, but Peter (#5 – from CA), we Floridians have Victoria and Alberts.

  • Bengal Barbeque– can’t visit without my bacon wrapped asparagus!!!!

  • I need to learn how to read since this is about Disneyland and I said Yak & Yeti at Disney World. In my part of the world it is still early morning Saturday so please forgive my faux pas!

At DL I found Bengal BBQ to be quite enjoyable.

  • Yak & Yeti in animal kingdom all the way!

  • This very useful. As someone who likes seafood and does not eat meat, I would find it really useful if there was somewhere on the blog or disneyland site that listed meals by content (as restaurants come and go year by year). This would also help parents with kids with allergies and dislike.
For example: Gluten free – meal a, c, d outlet 2: Seafood meal r, q, x outlet 4; kosher meal l, m, d, outlet 5; Low Carbs r, g, y, u outlet 4, meal g, y, t outlet 7. I guess adding prices would also help folks on a budget. Using the current resources finding meals by content is really hard especially combining Disneyland, CA, Downtown Disney and Hotels.

  • I agree. Bengal BBQ is very yummy!

  • I gotta say, we love Rancho del Zocalo as well. The Soft Tacos Monterey are my favorite, and my wife loves the chicken. The food is great, the atmosphere is simply unbeatable at sunset in the spring or summer. Perfect place for a bite to eat.

  • Bengal BBQ! hands down amazing!

  • I love the new menu items at the Hungry Bear!

Sometimes when I want a little snack, I’ll go with classic popcorn.

Also, I’m really looking forward to the menu items at the the new Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta and Paradise Garden Grill locations.

  • Hand Dipped Corn dog. Shame the Floridians dont have that.

  • Love the new Fried Green Tomato Sandwich at the Hungry Bear with a blueberry pie for dessert!!

  • Hands-down… the Corn Dog cart on Main Street in Disneyland!!

  • I love the corn dog place in CA Adv!

  • Without a doubt… BENGAL BARBEQUE
