  • We were at Hollywood Studios WDW this ride is amazing. 4 times before it closed.

  • Will the webcast be saved and available to view after the ceremony? We desperately want to watch it but will be traveling 6 hours on the road during that time with no internet connection.

  • Why was the link taken off?

  • This “Grand Opening Ceremony” is at Walt Disney World in Florida. May 20th is also the day that some of us will be attending the Star Tours preview event at Disneyland in California. Wonder if there will be anything special going on at Disneyland as well (well, other than getting to check out the ride!)? Also wonder if they will be broadcasting this event to those of us at Disneyland who will be standing in line since 4am in the morning…

  • My friend’s birthday is the same day as the opening of Star Tours 2 and I made these in honor of the opening and her birthday. Any chance D23 will make some official ones?

  • Have all of the winners been notified? I did not get an email either way like previous contests. I am leaving home on the 17th to go to the park and was hoping to get a response. I would hate to be right there with my kids and miss it!

  • Is the Opening Ceremony/Ribbon cutting happening at the ride itself or at the Mickey’s Hat? I’m curious because if you’re close enough to see the ceremonies then your pretty far from the ride to be amongst the “firs”t to ride it.

  • Can’t wait to see it. Was also wondering if the video will be available to watch for working people. Would be great for all who us disneyworld fans to see after work. Thanks!!

  • Will the grand opening be available for viewing later for those of us who can’t view it live at 10am?

  • If we’re going to be there for the opening itself, will there be information about the grand opening when we arrive? It would be great to see all this in person.

  • I believe they notified the winners by email. I received my winning email a couple of days ago along with the affidavits to fill out to attend, Cant wait to go 🙂

  • Will the opening ceremony re-air on a loop for a few hours like it did for the Disney Dream dedication? That made catching it in between my teaching hours a lot easier!

  • Also wondering about winners… or is the ride opening on the 20th now?

  • How long will you leave the videos up? I’ll be at work that day at 10 AM. =(

Any videos to help us poor unfortunate souls who can’t make it there this year will be greatly appreciated!

  • Will be there for the opening!!!

  • I will be attending the event on May 20. Can’t wait!

  • I saw online that they are now saying that Star Tours won’t be ready to open until midday on the 20th, will the event still be at 10am if the ride itself isn’t going to open until later in the day?

  • are the winners announced already?

  • Is it 10am East Coast Time?

    • Yes, East Coast time.

  • Is there any special event planned for the opening of Star Tours at Disneyland? 🙂

    • Hey, keep checking the blog.

  • Looking forward to it – but what time zone is that 10am please? Thanks!

    • Hi Heather, East Coast time.
