I wish I could have attended the world premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” at Disneyland Resort a few weeks ago. After seeing the photos from the premiere, my fellow teammate Erin Catalano and I thought it would be fun to go searching for new pirate “treasure” created especially for Disney Parks. The rest is…well, check it out and tell me what you think.
By the way, you are invited to a special meet and greet in Florida with Disney artist Mark Seppala who designed the limited-edition Disney Ear Hat seen in the video. You can meet Mark on Friday, May 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Art of Disney Parks located at Downtown Disney Marketplace.
I have to get back to writing some snappy pirate jokes (I probably should keep my day job). Can I get an “Arrrgh?!”

I agree. i just started reading DisneyParks Blog and Steven is the a writer that really stands out! I can’t stop reading his blog entries, I know way much more about Disney merchandise than I should. This is not good, every time I go to Disneyland (which is often since i’m a passholder) I’m going to be on the lookout for new merchandise now!!! LOL
Steven, Which store(s) carry that POTC hat? I’d really like to have one but I didn’t know where to call to try & get one if there are any left. Thank You for all that you do, such wondeful merchandise yall continue to put out there for us!
This doesn’t really relate to this blog post but I was just wondering if the missionary Phillip will become a character around the Disney parks? He is my favorite and I think he should go around with Captain Jack and Penelope! (:
“… now through July 2nd”: is the Pirate League going away July 2nd?
@Samantha – The particular “Mermaid Transformation Package” will end on July 2. The Pirates League will remain open. If you have never been, I recommend it. My children have had transformations there (and obviously, so have I :-). It was fun!!
To book an experience, call 407-WDW-CREW (407-939-2739). For more information about what is offered at The Pirates League, visit http://www.disneyworld.com/crew
I am so excited for the movie and the merchandise!!! These will be the longest hours of my life as I await to see the movie…EEEK! haha
Man you had fun with this one, Great video steven 🙂
I always enjoy your videos Steven. You have so much positive energy. The pirate pins look awesome! How many pins does the ear hat come with?
I can’t wait to see more of your videos in the future. 🙂

@Christopher – Thank you for the kind words says I 🙂
@Travis – The ear hat has an edition size of 1,000 and a retail of $69.95. It comes with three pins. Two pins are attached to the hat (front center and back center), and there is one hinged pin on a card that is tied to an ear. That hinged pin features Jack Sparrow, er … Captain Jack Sparrow.
Here are images that I posted on our official Disney Pins website – http://www.Disney.com/Pins
