Disney Parks Guests Can Become Padawans at Jedi Training Academy

Star Tours is now departing from Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but If you’re looking to add more Star Wars fun to your Disney Parks vacation, Jedi Training Academy is the experience you’re looking for.

Guests ages 4-12 from the show audience have the chance to become part of the class. They learn some impressive lightsaber moves from their Jedi Master and instructors, using their “training” lightsabers, of course. Cloaked in Jedi robes, the Padawans-to-be even get a chance to face off with some of the galaxy’s most feared Sith. Will they join the dark side?

Jedi Training Academy is located at the at the Tomorrowland Terrace Stage in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park and at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Backlot. Be sure to check daily entertainment schedules at each park for show times.

  • We don’t have children, but we are HUGE Star Wars fans! We decided to rest our feet and watch the Training Academy show at DLR last year. We really enjoyed the show! It was very entertaining, funny, and the kids involved were really great. I would highly recommend watching this show even if you don’t have children.

  • Our 5 year old grandson is a huge
Star Wars fan. Getting to battle Datrh Vader at the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios in December 2010 was the hightlight of his trip. He loves to show pictures of him we took and Photopass also took to everyone. Can’t recommend it highly enough to your own young jedi apprentice. It’s a must do!

  • This is a great show!

  • My son cannot wait until he turns 4 in March. He has all the moves memorized!

  • Oh no! Star Tours is leaving??? I love that ride! I hope it’ll come back in the future- and I loved the promo video for it!… why is it leaving?

    • Sorry for the confusion, Liberty – Star Tours actually just re-opened at Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Tours are now “departing” from both parks. 🙂
