The D23 Expo is just around the corner, and I still have so much to share with all of you. Over the next few weeks, be among the first to see some of the newest debuts from Disney Theme Park Merchandise from Dara, Steven and I, including the release of the much anticipated limited edition TRON Monorail and Disneyland Monorail play sets, as well as some of the latest releases from Disney licensees and artists including Precious Moments©, Robert Olszewski and more.

What I can tell you now is that the Dream Store will be filled to the brim and bursting with D23 themed merchandise and other specialty items from Disney Theme Park Merchandise, including D23 Expo logo assortments to Disney-inspired art and collectibles, ear hats, pins, Vinylmation and more. It will be a Disney enthusiast’s dream come true. From the timeless look of Mickey Mouse to assortments filled with classic characters, you’ll find something for everyone, no matter the occasion. The heart of this collection is the official logo of the D23 Expo 2011, the ultimate Disney fan event. Here’s a look at the D23 merchandise logo and a sneak peek at the art for the limited edition ear hat.

Also “in store” for you are releases from the Disney Vintage Collection which pays tribute to attractions from yesteryear. Giving the feel of the 1950s and early 1960s, this program is sure to become a treasure for any Disney fan.

I wanted to share one last thing with you before I go. Each day the Dream Store will release a limited assortment of commemorative merchandise from our D23 Expo Anniversary Collection, including t-shirts, mugs, pins and more, themed to the following Disney classic films, Walt Disney’s “101 Dalmatians,” “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dumbo,” in celebration of their historical anniversaries.

Next week, just wait until you see what I have in store for you for the D23 Live and Silent auction. For now, all I can tell you is that there are behind-the-scenes tours and experiences, original artwork that is sure to dazzle you and artifacts and props that would make any collection complete. Remember tickets to the auction are on sale now. So don’t miss out!

  • As a brand new member of D23, we simply do not have time to attend this year’s expo with so little advance planning! As members, will we have the opportunity to purchase any of the items that are featured in the expo Dream Store?

  • We’re looking forward to attending next month. We had fun at the 2009 Expo.

  • I can’t wait!!!!! Just sayin’!

  • So excited to be attending the 2011 D23 EXPO! 2009 was amazing! See you all there!

  • The D23 Expo tickets do not include admission to the silent auction?

    • Ricardo, your correct! The ticket price for the Live and Silent Auction experience is separate. You’ll be able to view the Live and Silent Auction lots without purchaing an additional “bidders ticket” but if you want to participate in the Auction, there is an additional fee. Keep watching the Disney Parks Blog next week. I know you’re going to love some of of the auction lots.

  • Does the Merchandise require a D23 membership? I collect Mickey Ear hats and those puppies would look great hanging on my wall next to the 31 other pairs! Can’t wait for the expo! Already Counting Down!

    • Dylan,
There are only a few items that require a D23 membership (i.e. a Members only pin or an Olszewski Members only Pokitpal). But you definitely need to have a ticket to attend the Expo. Hope to see you there.

  • What exactly is the D23 expo, never heard of it….

    • Jane, the best way I can describe the D23 Expo, is the ultimate Disney Fan Event. Imagine all the different parts of the Walt Disney Company in one place. There are Studio and film presentations, autograph sessions, new offerings from Disney Parks & Resorts, Walt Disney Imagineering, etc. And of course, our Disney Theme Park Merchandise. Here’s a link to the D23 website that will tell you all about D23, the Expo, events, etc. I hope it will help to answer some questions. http://d23.disney.go.com/expo.html

  • Will you be able to use Disney gift cards at the Expo store?

    • Pamela, you can definitely use your Disney Gift Cards at the Expo Store. See you soon.

  • We are counting down the days until we come !

  • Thanks for the info!

I’ve already got my tickets and I am REALLY looking forward to the Expo! 🙂

My sister and I had a blast at the 2009 expo!

    • Yeah! Glad you’ve already got your tickets! It’s going to be great! I’ll see you there.
