High school track and basketball athletes from around the country are at Walt Disney World Resort for the next few weeks for the AAU National Championships and as usual, there are tons of interesting stories unfolding at the event at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

For instance, in the Track & Field event, Chelsi Williams, a 4-year-old girl from nearby Lakeland, Fla., set a national AAU record in the long jump with a leap of 6 feet, 9 inches, surpassing the old mark by more than two feet. Apparently she developed her remarkable leaping ability by jumping on the furniture at her house.

And then there’s the girls basketball team from the Atlanta area that has several players whose fathers are former pro athletes. Former Seattle Mariners star Ken Griffey Jr. (Taryn), ex-Boston Celtics star Dee Brown (Alexis Brown) and former Indiana Pacers forward Antonio Davis (Kaela) all have daughters on the squad. And it’s no surprise that all of them are the stars of the team. In fact, Kaela Davis is projected as the top ranked high school junior in the country this coming season.

Check out this video of the team competing this week in the AAU 11th Grade Super Showcase at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
