One of the most popular features of our runDisney events are the medals awarded to everyone who finishes either our 26.2-mile Walt Disney World Marathon or any of our 13.1-mile half marathons. We are often asked how those medals are made. Well, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how one of our art directors designs and creates our medals.

  • The Disneyland and Chip & Dale relay medals are massive! Great job with the design.

  • Very excited! I knew this year’s Disneyland medal was nice but there was no sense of how big it was when a picture of it was released. I feel like I might need to do some neck-strenghtening exercises on the plane ride to handle that baby!!

Very cool to see the Chip & Dale relay medal in the actual metal, as well as TinkerBell (which is also huge!!). I will be very excited to add all three (and two new Coast to Coast medals) to my collection!
