A few months ago, the team from Harveys debuted the Disney Classic Comic Strip Signature Collection of Seatbeltbags at Disney Vault 28. I’m excited to share the news that Dana and Melanie Harvey will be returning to the Vault, this time with something that is sure to give you “nightmares” and “drive” you crazy. Have I teased you enough? Here’s a sneak peek at some of the new art that will appear on their line of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” inspired Seatbeltbags. Want more? How about a collection of Seatbeltbags themed to bats or skulls? These additional Harveys for Disney Couture styles are set to debut alongside the “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” totes.
What will they come up with next?
So for fans of Disney, “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” and Harveys, it looks like the holidays have collided once again this year, but this time with a fashionable twist. Check this new collection out at Disney Vault 28 on September 10. Word on the street is Dana and Melanie will be on hand to sign bags from 5-8 pm.

Can you tell me where these are for sale in Walt Disney World? I am so excited to see them! TIA!
Are you going to post any “sneak peek” pictures before the actual release date on the 10th? I live about 425 from Disneyland and I would love to be able to have a quick peek before I make the drive.
Hey Louanne! Unfortunately we aren’t allowed to release photos of the actual items until they debut on Saturday. I’m sorry. But from what I have seen, they both look amazing, and I think you’d love them. I hope you can still make it.
What is a Seatbeltbag?
Gale, a seatbeltbag is a purse made completely of actual seat belts. It’s amazing to see the styles and colors that are available. Take a look at the HARVEYS website. http://www.seatbeltbags.com.
Yeah, I hope that they will have them on Sep 15, I’ll be at D World. Yeah!
I love all the Harveys lines, especially the disney ones. I was planning on treating myself to one (my first!) when I’m there next week. Do premium annual passholders get a discount at Vault 28 for this collection?
Demetra, you will absolutely love it! They are so durable, easy to clean and I guarantee you will get tons of compliments. Discounts definitely apply. So if you have a Premium Annual Pass be sure to show it.
My husband bought me the Minnie Mouse one and I just love it and my friend just said to me the other day she was not happy she did not get one!
Judith, you’re so lucky! The Minnie Mouse style is a great collection. Some styles of the collection are still available at Disney Vault 28 if your friend is still interested. Have a great day.
OMGoodness, I am so excited! I have an addiction to your Disney Bags, and to Nightmare so this is like a Marriage made in Heaven for me…However, is there actually going to be a Nightmare Purse? I am not familiar with the Totes?
Hey Louanne! The purse style is actually considered a tote. It’s just a little taller than an actual satchel bag. Here’s a link to the HARVEYS website (http://www.seatbeltbags.com), where you can see various styles of bags, including what they consider a tote. I think you’ll love it. My mom actually has a tote purse in plain black and it’s a hit any time she takes it out. Hope that helps.
Seatbelt bags are purses made of car seat belts. They are awesome. I’m so excited for this event. It is worth the 6 hour drive! 🙂
Do we know how many designs there will be or which sizes/style?
Super excited for these!
Cindy,
It looks like for the Moonlight and Jack & Sally designs will be available as totes. However there are a few other collections being released featuring bats and skulls that are sure to surprise and delight you. Simply put, they’re spook-tacular.
Love the Harveys seatbelt bags! I have six of their Disney bags! For those of you that have never heard of them . . . Dana and Melanie Harvey are a husband and wife team that have been making purses/bags from seatbelts since the 1990’s. They are awesome bags. The bags are made in the USA (California) to be exact. They come in all kinds of styles, colors, etc. I buy the Disney Couture line. The bags are sold in Disneyland and Walt Disney World and online. Check out their website!!
Noreen,
Thank you so much for filling in the group on creators Dana and Melanie Harvey and about the seatbelt bags. There is truly nothing like it. As you mentioned the bags in fact are made of actual seatbelts. It’s amazing to see the different colors, designs, etc… that come from a simple tool we use every day while driving. If you have a chance visit http://www.seatbeltbags.com. Many of the collections come in a variety of different sizes, from totes to satchels, messenger bags and more. Enjoy.
I agree, these designs look great. But what is a seatbelt bag?
Will they be available online? I won’t be getting to WDW until January… any chance they would still be out then?
Jenny, at this time it doesn’t look like we will be offering them online, but if that changes, I’ll be sure to let you know.
Do you have any more information about the upcoming Benefit Sale at Downtown Disney? We received a flyer during the passholder sale but have not heard anything else about the sale.
Hey Nicole! Information regarding the Benefit Sale taking place in the Downtown Disney area at the Walt Disney World Resort and at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, will be released very shortly. So keep watching the Disney Parks Blog.
I don’t understand…what’s a seatbelt bag? Is it a handbag made out of car seat belts? hmmmm……..
Can’t wait to see these
