Trader Sam’s Addictive Fried Chinese Long Beans at Disneyland Resort

Fried Chinese Long Beans from Trader Sam's at Disneyland Resort

Have you tried these yet? The hot, crispy green beans are deep-fried in Panko bread crumbs and served just like that. A little spicy dipping sauce on the side (Sriracha and aioli) – now that’s cocktail hour. Pair with Trader Sam’s HippopotoMai-Tai and call us happy.

If you feel the need to supplement the green beans with something a little less indulgent, add an order of the sushi-grade ahi tuna poke or a simple cheese and marinara flatbread and that’s dinner.

Sometimes we prefer Sam’s No Booze Brews and our favorite, the Skipper Sipper, has a “secret” ingredient – falernum, a mixer with lime, almond and ginger. Add tropical juices, organic agave nectar, mint, fresh lime juice and a splash of soda water for a real refresher.

  • I never heard of Trader Sam’s before! where can you find this in Disneyland?

  • I just ate here for the first time last weekend! It’s located near the Disneyland hotel, near the pool area if I’m not mistaken. A bit of a walk away from Downtown Disney. I had the pulled pork and BBQ sauce pizza and it was amazing!!

  • They recently opened it this summer and is only found near the pool at the Disneyland Hotel

  • Is this the same recipe for the Yak & Yeti dish in Animal Kingdom at WDW? Their panko-covered beans are so delish!

  • What would “seafood spice” consist of? Old Bay Seasoning?

  • Favorite item at Trader Sam’s? Old Kungaloosh. Any AC veteran should know that Sam’s bartenders can make old AND new Kunglaloosh upon request, and both evoke fond memories of a time not-so-long passed (plus, keep an eye out for Slappy…).

  • I saw this article yesterday and made them for dinner for me and my husband last night, and we loved them! We put them along side grilled mahi-mahi. I haven’t been to Trader Sams yet, but we’re going back to the park in November and will definitely go check it out.:-) Thanks for sharing the recipe!
