Sure, it may be a bit early to talk holidays but here at Walt Disney World Resort we never stop. Cast members have been working on Christmas since January. This week, teams are extra busy inside our amazing holiday services warehouse and around the resort so we thought you’d enjoy a peek at what’s going on and what to expect this season.
Oh, you better believe we love those featured gingerbread shingles here at the Disney Parks Blog. How about you? Let us know what you most enjoy about Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays.

Main Street USA is always magical during the holidays — still missing the Lights of Winter at EPCOT though 🙁
Please tell us that the Country Bear Jamboree’s Christmas show overlay is going to make its triumphant return to the Magic Kingdom this year.
They did put a picture from that overlay on the December 2011 page in the 2012 WDW 16-month calendar, so you might as well do it.
What happens to the gingerbread house once Christmas is over? I always wonder if this type of edible decoration is thrown out or actually eaten.
Creating and assembling the holiday decor at Disney World is my dream job. How lucky to be part of such a special, magical job!
We love the Christmas season at Disney! I do miss the Country Bear Christmas special and the tree lighting ceremony at Epcot though. I hope they don’t get rid of anymore Christmas shows! We absolutely love all the Christmas trees and decorations. This is our first year actually staying at a Disney resort during Christmas week. My kids are very excited that Santa visits Disney. We can’t wait! Disney is extra special at Christmas time; it’s brilliant and magical!
