Moms Panel: If I Had Two Hours at Walt Disney World to Make a Lifelong Memory I Would…

Dannée Neal, one of our Disney Vacation Club Specialists, loves our vacation villas. It’s no surprise that her choice on where and how to make a lifelong memory would be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas at Walt Disney World Resort

“If I had two hours at Walt Disney World Resort in late fall or winter, I would go to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas at the main Jambo House. I would buy some hot chocolates and take my family to the Arusha Rock fire pit and enjoy the African Storytelling held each day. It’s a simple wish, but one I would cherish forever.”

Do you love our villas? What lifelong memory have you made while staying at one of our deluxe villa accommodations? Let me know in the comments section below!

  • We had the privilege of staying at one of the TreeHouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and it was such an amazing experience! There were eight of us and we were so comfortable. My parents got the master bedroom, our two kids had the bedroom with bunk beds, my husband and I had the third bedroom and my brother and sister-in-law slept very comfortably on the sleeper sofa in the living room. We felt like we were home, honestly. There was so much room to spread out and we were just minutes from the Parks. One of our favorite things was that we could walk right over to the boat dock and it was a real quick ride over to Downtown Disney. We LOVE the TreeHouse Villas and our memory of the fabulous time we spent there was a HUGE factor in our decision to buy into Disney Vacation Club earlier this year, of course, Saratoga Springs is our home resort!

  • If I had 2 hours at Disney World, I’d go to the Boardwalk Villas. I’d either walk or rent a surrey bicycle around Crescent Lake, taking a few breaks to look over the Boardwalk and the other resorts that line the lake. If the trip around the lake didn’t warm me enough, then I’d take a quick dip into one of Boardwalk’s hot tubs!

  • Do we need to be registered guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas to enjoy the African Storytelling? If not at what time does it begin? 🙂

  • I feel like I have grown up in the villas. My parents purchased the DVC when I was 11 years old. Twenty years later, my favorite time of year is still our annual summer trip to WDW. We usually do a split stay; however one of the resorts is always OKW. To me, it really is home. Last December, we watched as my own daughter began to master walking in the villa.

Even more memories came when we stayed at the AKL villas concierge level. After years of cooking homemade meals and grocery shopping, it was wonderful to sit in the lounge, enjoy the treats that change every few hours, and then retreat to our wonderful patio or pool side.

  • Our family LOVES staying at the villas. Our most memorable time was our first visit at the Bay Lake Villas with a Magic Kingdom view. Watching the fireworks in our PJs every night was one I’ll always remember. The living room areas give you a chance to just be together and relax – we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

  • My Niece, Nephew, Sister and I would start on main street the moment it opened and catch the Mickey Mouse confetti. I would figure out how to surprise my Sister with a Pineapple Dole whip. Yum! Then we would make our way to Tomorrow land, where we would ride Dumbo, It’s a Small World and the Carousel. As we would walk through the castle, our voices would joyfully sing songs about our adventure; because with the memories, our adventure would never have to end.
