Spend Halloween at Fort Wilderness With Disney Characters

Forget tricks, we’ve got a real treat this Halloween – an all-you-care-to-eat supper and an evening with favorite Disney characters, in the fun outdoor setting at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness.

Dress up and head for the Halloween-themed dance party from 5-7 p.m. on October 31. The Disney characters will be in Halloween costumes, with plenty of time for fun photos.

The generous buffet features baked chicken, barbecued pork ribs, hot dogs with all the fixins, cheeseburgers, coleslaw, baked beans, cornbread, watermelon and frozen treats. Beer, wine, lemonade and iced tea are included. And don’t worry, there’s plenty of candy for trick-or-treaters.

Cost is $50.99, $29.99 ages three to nine. Reservations can be made by online at www.disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining, by calling 407-WDW-DINE (3463) or visiting any Guest Relations theme park location or Guest Services desk at a Disney resort.

  • Does anyone know if there are other activities planned in the campground around Halloween other than the bar b q and carriage rides?

I understand in the past there were cart decorating parades, pumpkin carving contest, etc.

  • I wish they’d repair/rebuild our fort out here in Anaheim :-/

  • I made reservations on-line (the phone system was down). I just made them and pre-paid for Mickey’s Backyard BBQ on Oct. 31 — is that all I had to do to also enjoy the dance party/characters too? My reservation says that there are no characters at this?

  • Will photopass be there?

  • We are on our way Oct1, 2011. We go to Disney often because we love Ft. Wilderness. We sadly miss River Country…

  • WOULD BE NICE FOR THE PRICE IF YOU HAD FOOD A VEGAN COULD EAT.Sorry cap lock was on. It is very hard for us non meat eaters to find food at Disney World. We are a growing trend that is here to stay. You seem to help all other types of people but us. As you say it makes no difference who you are. Well can you give us some maps or anything that a person can go to and find the good food that you are known for to eat?????

  • That sounds fun! Does anyone know if halloween activities will be happening at the campground the weekend before halloween (friday the 28th and saturday 29th)? We will be there that weekend. 🙂

  • Would be even nicer if this was offered other evenings. Those staying at Fort Wilderness will be busy with trick-or-treating & unable to attend.

  • Love this picture of Donald. I really love seeing the characters “in costume”, especially when they are dressed like each other.

  • great

  • Which specific characters are scheduled to make appearances there?
