Who Will Adorn the Stern of the Disney Fantasy?

Last week we celebrated a huge milestone in the construction of the Disney Fantasy as the final building block was placed. But as many of you know, the exterior of a Disney cruise ship is not complete without the sculpture of a beloved Disney character adorning the stern!

Starting the Disney Cruise Line tradition, Walt Disney Imagineers brought to life Goofy on the stern of the Disney Magic, followed by Donald Duck and his nephews on the Disney Wonder and Sorcerer Mickey on the Disney Dream.

Now, the Walt Disney Imagineers are putting the finishing touches on the character sculpture for the Disney Fantasy. Many of you have been eagerly awaiting the reveal and giving guesses as to which Disney character it will be. Check out the Disney Cruise Line Facebook page for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look!

Think ANOTHER lil’ underappreciated 40’s character who seems to be getting quite a bit of rediscovery these past few months…Although you wouldn’t think he was quite cut out for shipbuilding, he does have some help. 🙂

(Now, me, if the ship was designed for Mexico cruises, I’d have picked the Three Caballeros to send us on our trip. Hopefully there’s another “forgotten” 40’s movie that Marketing can rediscover next.)

  • Chip and Dallleeeeee!

  • Chip and Daleee!!!!!!!
