If you’re going to be in the New York City area this weekend, we’ve got something memorable in store for you.

Starting this afternoon, Disney Parks will be bringing a special “character” to the Big Apple. Using state-of-the-art augmented reality technology, we’ll be creating fun and whimsical moments with guests in Times Square as they virtually interact with the Disney theme park characters.

Disney Characters Make Virtual Memories in Times Square

It’s all taking place on the huge 60-foot tall digital board towering high above the Disney Store on Broadway at 45th Street. The Disney characters will appear larger than life and will be engaging with guests in unique and truly one-of-a-kind experiences never been found anywhere else before.

The event is free of charge and will continue during daytime hours on Friday and Saturday. Be sure to check back here with the Disney Parks Blog to see video from the event tomorrow. It’s sure to be a special Disney Parks memory you’ll want to share with family and friends.

You can also follow along and join the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag – #disneymemories.
