As Kevin first reported, we celebrated Veterans Day in a very special way here at Disneyland park. A special flag retreat ceremony in Town Square celebrated veterans, reservists and active duty members of the armed forces, and featured Disneyland Resort cast members who have served or are serving. For those who couldn’t join us last Friday, check out the ceremony in this video.

While camping this past weekend, I lead my Girl Scout troop (Daises and Brownies) in a flag ceremony. It is so important to pass those traditions down. It is great to see those traditions passed down at Disneyland and so many taking their time at Disneyland to the honor our veterans.
That is really cool! I got the chills when they started playing the National Anthem. I love how Veterans were all around Main Street.
Is there a full length video of this ceremony. This is one of my favorite experiences at DL. I would love to see the Veterans Day retrieval in its entirety.
I was there, and it was great! Oh wow, you can actually see me at the flagpole. Thanks to Disneyland for the effort they make to honor all of us Vet’s. I am a pass holder and have seen Vet’s and first responders honored quite often at the flag retreat, not just on Veteran’s Day.

We always try to catch the flag retreat ceremony when we visit the park. It always makes me tear up. When my parents went last year with some out of town family, I insisted they go to the flag retreat and told my mom to make sure my dad got out there to stand with the rest of the vets to be honored. He did and the pictures my mom took of it really touched my heart. I am so glad Disneyland does this every day. It’s great to see so many more people out there for it on Veteran’s Day. Next year, we’ll have to go and check it out on Veteran’s Day!
I am proud to see a special ceremony for Veterans Day. Flag retreat is always special event to watch everyday and on this day Disney did retreat justice. Walt would have been proud!

This doesn’t relate to Veterans Day, but a while back you posted about Fantasy Faire taking over Plaza Gardens(the pictures looked great and sounded like a great addition to fantasyland), but no constuction has started and I though it was suppost to start back in september?
