Celebrate Three Kings Day at Disneyland Park with Rosca de Reyes

This weekend, we’ll be celebrating Three Kings Day at Disneyland park, and in addition to special décor, entertainment and children’s activities, guests will also experience the Latin American holiday tradition with special treats served just for this celebration.

Special food carts will appear in Zocalo Park, serving special Three Kings Day treats, and the seasonal menu at Rancho del Zocalo restaurant will include tamales and Mexican hot chocolate.

Here’s a look at what will be offered during the celebration:

  • Rosca de Reyes, the “Mexican Kings Bread” with a hidden whole almond nut or “almendra”
  • Sweet corn tamale with pineapple and cajeta (caramel sauce) dessert
  • Savory blue corn tamale with Monterey Jack cheese and a green chili tomatillo sauce, with a corn chili relish
  • Strawberry-filled churros

So don’t miss all these delicious treats and more during the Three Kings Day celebration at Disneyland park, January 6-8!

  • Too bad there’s nothing going on for the Feast of Fools as mentioned in Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Disney used to have that awesome Festival of Fools stage show which was a huge crowd pleaser.

Oh, well, I still plan to head up to the park anyway. I’ll wear my Judge Frollo hat. XD

  • What a hater?

  • FYI, this is also a Greek Orthodox celebration. Are you serving Greek Orthodox food anywhere in the park?

  • Can’t wait! I’ll be there Saturday 🙂

  • Hi Erin! I was hoping if you could tell me if Rancho del Zocalo will still be having the chicken tamales that they have had as a special holiday plate during the holidays at the park. I love those chicken tamales and I will be there on Sunday to celebrate my birthday 😀 I am also excited to see this Three Kings Day celebration for the first time at the park. Thanks and Happy New Year!

    • Hi Deanna – Rancho del Zocalo will just offer the special tamales for Three Kings Day, but you can find chicken tamales at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill at Disney California Adventure park.

  • I can only be there on Friday. What time will the children’s activities begin and end?

    • Hi Jenny – All activities begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 6 p.m. See you there!

  • Is there any press contact for this?

  • Please bring these to WDW! There are so many blog posts featuring the delicacies of Disneyland – so please bring them east for the rest of us to enjoy!

  • Those tamales sound so delicious.

  • I am SO looking forward to being there on Friday morning! Can’t wait to try the food and hear the mariachi band!

  • My friend who works at Plaza Inn was telling me about the blue corn tamales and I said I have to try them. They sound so yummy!! I will be there either friday or saturday.

  • Awesome. I’m looking forward to trying the special food items for this event.
