The wait is over! Today Disney Cruise Line revealed the 2013 itineraries for the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder. Captain Mickey Mouse sends his regards from one of the new destinations…

That’s right, the Disney Magic is headed back to Europe, and Athens, Greece, is just one of the new destinations!

All European cruises depart from Barcelona, Spain, and guests have the option of four-, seven- and 12-night sailings. In addition to a wide variety of cruise lengths, we also have some Disney Cruise Line “firsts” on tap for the 2013 European season taking place onboard our 12-night sailings. Pick your pleasure… one 12-night itinerary includes an overnight stop in Venice, Italy, and a visit to Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast and the other calls on Ephesus, Turkey, the Greek Isles and Athens.

Check out these photos from some of our new European ports of call…

Now for the other big news…

Starting in December of this year, Disney Cruise Line will depart for the first time from Miami! The Disney Wonder will sail four- and five-night cruises from the Port of Miami to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.

Ports of call may include Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman; Key West and Nassau, Bahamas, and many of the Caribbean voyages will include a stop at Disney Cruise Line’s private island, Castaway Cay.

What about Alaska?

The Disney Wonder will return to Alaska in May 2013, departing from Vancouver and sailing to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have their warm clothing ready!

Comments

  • Will Disney offer the Hawaii cruise in 2013?

  • Any idea when the westbound transatlantic cruise will be announced ??

  • Will the Alaska cruises still be departing from Seattle? That is much more affordable for airfare.

  • This is NOT good news for us. We were excited to be able to depart from Los Angeles. We were hoping Disney Cruise Line would have stayed in L.A. and did West Coast cruises with Disneyland/Disney Cruise vacation packages.

  • This is so exciting. And such a fun way to introduce kids to the world. Thanks for adding such wonderful destinations.

  • With the addition of more itineries I bucket list just got longer!!! Looking forward to sailing the FANATSY 2013.

  • ALASKA! ALASKA!! ALASKA!!! My husband wanted to go this year, but something came up and we can’t go :o( So 2013 is the year!!!

  • I am tickled with excitement. Have been wishing for Alaska and need to save $$ to go. My 10 year anniversary is May 2013 so I am thinking this will be the best way to celebrate. We were fortunate to go last minute to Mexico last fall and LOVED every single minute. Although I too would like to see quick trips out of Southern California someday (3-5 days). I see so many possiblities of itineries all over the world. I vote for more ships!

  • Why no mention of NYC to canada? Was it dropped? I figured NYC would be a Hge port to leave from.

  • Would love to go on Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Wonder. Sailed on the Wonder twice and once on the Dream. The kids and I prefer the small of the two. Maybe in 2014?

  • I want to see the list of New York Departures PLEASE!!!

  • Very cool! A repositioning cruise as they move from one side of the Atlantic to the other would be fun too.

  • Alaska! Lovin’ the west coast cruises!

  • We are so sad to see the Wonder leave Los Angeles. We have sailed twice to the Mexican Rivera and have loved every moment. Sending the ship back to the East Coast is ridiculous. I am hoping the later part of 2013 the Wonder will stay in Los Angeles after Alaska and start sailing 4 and 5 day trips to Mexico and Catalina Island. It just seems with all of the cruise ship offerings and vacation club offerings Disney is becoming very East Coast biased.

  • We have sailed 5 times and will be doing back to back sailings on the Dream and Fantasy next December. Love that Disney is going back to Europe… would love to see Venice port combined with Greece in 2014!

  • MAGICAL News thank for listening to all of our requests. For us to Greece we go Hi Ho, Hi Ho, off to Greece we go.

But first, 2012 NYE Fantasy Cruis, here we come

  • Bookings for the 2013 schedule open Jan. 26, 2012.

  • Miami to the Caribbean sounds excellent! Better start making plans.

  • We already have booking lists waiting for this! So excited about return to Europe and the extension of sailings from Galveston.

  • I would love more West Coast 2, 3, 4 day cruises. Please!!!

  • What about the New York to Halifax/St. Johns itineary???

    Is that not coming back??

  • My fiancé and I will be honeymooning on the Disney Fantasy for an Eastern Caribbean cruise in February 2013! We can’t wait!!

  • OMG!!!!!! LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I’m confused. The Wonder is sailing out of Miami? I thought it was staying positioned on the West coast. I was on that repositioning cruise in January of last year. Was there a typo somewhere?

  • When will the pricing become available for Europe? Just booked 2 cruises last week onboard the Magic but would love to go to Europe

  • Finally! Now when will we be able to book and check out the dates on the website?

  • Now I can go visit Italy, been dreaming of going there, now I can do it with Disney, what more could I ask for??!!!

  • That also means at least TWO Panama Canal crossings. Cool!

  • I’m so excited!! Doing the happy dance at home!!!!

  • What about the itinerary out of New York going to Halifax and St. Johns??

Will that be returning for the summer of 2013??

    PLEASE SAY YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very exciting! Can you tell us when these new itineraries will be available for booking?

  • This is why my family LOVES DISNEY!!! WONDERFUL NEWS!!! Can’t wait to start planning our next cruise!!

  • Still no Australian cruise? Sigh. Hopefully 2014. Would love to sail with Disney again.

  • ho yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!! thanks you mister disney !!!!

  • Glad to see the Wonder will be travelling out of Vancouver again! I understand why the change to Seattle was made for 2012 (cheaper flights for US residents, lower port fees, etc) but the 7-day itinerary is so much better out of Vancouver! Welcome back to Canada, Wonder!

  • Europe … Yessss , I’ll go Transatlantique then !!!

  • This is THE best way to start off my morning!!!! Thank you, Disney Blog, for breaking the news and thank you DCL for listening to your fans and for going back to Europe!!!!!
