Early Morning for Three Kings Day Celebration at Disneyland Park

Mariachis, media and Mickey were all up early this morning to help kick off the first official Three Kings Day celebration at Disneyland park. More than 20 crew members started setting up late last night for local stations to broadcast live from Zocalo Park in Frontierland.

The video below shows a little bit of how we made it happen and what guests can expect this weekend during the unique, three-day event.

  • This is awesome..Viva Mexico y Los 3 Reyes Magos!! I love that Disneyland is showcasing different aspects of the Latin culture. A lot of people think we only have 5 de Mayo but in reality there is so much more. I hope Disneyland does this every year.

  • This event is great – the colorful costumes, the Mariachi Divas, the festive atmosphere and the great food. Thanks for bringing a new event to Disneyland.

  • This is awesome, I always wonders why the resort did not do special events that celebrated someof these unique celebrations from different cultures. With such a large Latino population it makes perfect sense to celebrate traditions like the three kings day and maybe even cinco de mayo.

    Hopefully we see other cultural events like the Chinese new year. I think that DCA would be the perfect park for events like these as well. DCA has a few large open air theaters as well as the wharf which offers Asian cuisine and Mexican cuisine.

    Let’s also hope that once BVS and Carsland is open that we get to see the return of the food and wine festival and then maybe an all new flower and garden festival here in the west coast. Disneyland resort does a great job with ts gardens. I would lve to see a full festival like in the east coast

  • I am sooooooooooo bummed that I had to miss this!!!!

  • I went to Disneyland on January 6, 2012 just to attendand the Dia de los Reyes Magos event. It was great!! Thank you Disney for making this happen. I especially appreciated the mini Rosca de Reyes pastries sold at the cart. And the children’s shoes filled with small gifts was so clever. Just the right touch.

  • I second Ismael’s request for Chinese New Year celebrations each year. With the new year starting at the end of this month being the Year of the Dragon, won’t Mushu have something to say about this? 😉

  • This was such a fun event, and the strawberry churros were AMAZING!

  • Next question is Jan 23 is Chinese (Asian) New Year. Will there be a celebration at Disneyland Park for this?
