Calling all Disney Parks Blog fans who will be spending One More Disney Day at Disneyland park! Come celebrate with us at our “Midnight Snack” from 11:45 p.m. – 12:45 a.m. on February 29, 2012 (and a little into March 1).

If you are planning to visit Disneyland park for One More Disney Day – February 29 – be sure to stop by Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue from 11:45 p.m. – 12:45 a.m. to join us for:

  • Delicious treats and hot beverages
  • Meet & greets with Disney characters
  • Live music by Denny Moynahan
  • Other surprises to be announced

No RSVP required! We will be admitting “Midnight Snack” guests into Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue at 11:45 p.m. based on capacity restrictions. Please note that the event is extremely limited and can only accommodate a small number of guests. Here are a few more things you should know:

  • Park admission will not be provided for this event. Valid park admission is required in order to enter Disneyland park on February 29.
  • Guests may begin lining up for the “Midnight Snack” no earlier than 10 p.m. on February 29.
  • Entry will be granted based on capacity and is extremely limited to approximately 200 guests.

This opportunity is available only at Disneyland park on February 29 – we hope to see you there during One More Disney Day!

Comments

  • Will there be rolling admission so that as some guests leave (if they leave) more are allowed into Big Thunder Ranch?

    • I’m afraid not, Thomas.

  • Cost?

    • There is no cost to attend this event if you have purchased valid park admission to visit Disneyland park on February 29 (that includes Annual Passports).

  • Wow, sounds fun! Can’t wait. 😀

  • I hope I’ll be able to have my midnight snack!! I just have one question. What will the kennel club hours be that day? The hours are 30min before park opening until 30min after park closing. Does this mean that it will stay open from 5:30am on the 29th until 6:30am on the 1st?

    • The Disneyland Kennel Club will be open from 6 a.m. (2/29) to 6 a.m. (3/1).

  • what does this midnight snack consist of?

  • Will those attending the One More Disney Day at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom have anything of this sort? So far we have seen that those attending Disneyland will get ear hats if they are early and can also attend this “Midnight Snack.” Nothing has been said about Walt Disney World having any of these type of things yet though as far as I can see.

  • I understand that there is no cost to attend this event but what about the food and drinks? Will they be complementary as well? And where do we line up at? Just in front of the Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue? Probably silly questions but just want to make sure! Got to make every min of the extra day count 😉

    • Not silly at all, Jessica. There is no cost for the food and drinks – it’s our treat. 🙂

There will be Disneyland cast members at the entrance to Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue to help guests line up for the event at 10 p.m. Remember that you will not be able to line up prior to 10 p.m.

  • It’s 100% free? This sounds too good to be true!

    • 100% – but remember, capacity is limited to 200 guests.

  • then I guess it’s a good thing that I’ll be staying from Feb the 27th until March the 9th! though I do wonder what kind of characters will be there?

  • COUNT ME IN! :]]

  • Why are you showing Hong Kong Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle for an article about Disneyland?

  • Chris–
I am almost positive that is an actually picture of Disneyland’s castle in California. Hong Kong’s castle has mountains next to it.

  • Erin, thanks for the info! Will there be any additional announcements on entertainment or shows for the 29th (other than what is already on the Disneyland website?) I had heard that there may be surprises in store, but wondered when we’d hear about them?

    • Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog, Andrew. 😉

  • we will be there!
i have to say you guys are doing so much! i dont know how I am going to fit it all in in 24 hours! i sure hope my camera last this long!!!

  • Erin..What about the Magic Kingdom? Is there anywhere I can find out about what is going on there? All this Disneyland talk is making me a little jealous. 🙂

  • I’m so excited I love Disney park blog events. Haven’t been to one in awhile. Really hope I’m one of the lucky 200. Thank you for doing this for the disney fans.

  • I so will be there too. I am arriving on tuesday night at around 9:30pm to wait for parking then to the park to be one of the first in on the 29th. I’m excited, for years I’ve heard my mom talk about being there for the 25th anniversary and being in the park for 25 hours straight, now it will be my turn to have this experience. I can’t wait. Thankfully afterwards I have a room at the disneyland hotel so not to far to go to crash in bed lol. Will the monorail be running all night or will it be closed after a certain time?

  • Will there be an itenrary for all events handed out at the entrance gates?

  • Thanks a bunch Erin! You have been very helpful! Can’t wait for Leap Day to come! Keep up the good work! 🙂

  • Oh count me in! I waited 6 hours in Main St last year to get a spot for Candlelight, you think I am going to miss this?!

  • staying tuned – but time is running out for updates

All I’ve seen added on the calendar is that the piano player will be tickling the ivories at night.

  • Erin you said there was no rolling admission, is that for the character meet and greets also or just the food?

    • That applies to the entire event – which includes the food, character meet & greets and reserved viewing for “Fantasmic!”

  • Hi Erin,
I had a question. If a friend bought a two-day southern california pass, does that mean she has to use BOTH or does the 29th roll into the 1st… or do they need another ticket after midnight?

    • Only one ticket is needed for the entire 24-hour period.

  • Are there going to be any benefits to staying at one of the resort properties?

  • [OT, but I didn’t comment on the earlier post – Erin, you look absolutely adorable in the mouse ears picture]

I was wondering about Fantasmic [it was rumored to be at 1] and if I (if I got in) would have to run over to see it when the “Midnight Snack” ended. Well, it looks like there’s going to be quite a line forming at 10PM. I hope I make the cut of 200.

  • Can any body line up at 10pm or is there a code or a pass to have?

    • Kari – Anyone visiting Disneyland park for One More Disney Day is welcome to attend, but capacity is limited to 200 guests.

  • Any love for us Walt Disney World visitors? 🙂

  • How are you all going to control the no lining up before 10pm; you know people will try? Will bracelets be handed out? I worry because I can imagine people “Holding a place in line” for their friends. Example I think there are 10 people in front of me then all of a sudden it is like 50 people at 11:30pm.

  • Hmm, good question, I second Delia’s question.

  • I am going to see the Billies during this time!!
