Yesterday the Disney Wonder sailed out of Seattle for the first time, marking the start to Disney Cruise Line’s summer Alaska season.

Disney Wonder Departs from Seattle on a 7-day Alaskan Voyage

The Seattle city skyline is just the beginning of the breathtaking views guests will enjoy on the seven-night Alaska Disney cruises which sail to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska; and Victoria, British Columbia.
Seattle is the second iconic U.S. city Disney Cruise Line sailed out of for the first time this week, following Disney’s first-ever sailings out of New York City on Friday. Which of this year’s new Disney Cruise Line homeports do you want to cruise from the most – Seattle, New York or Galveston, Texas?

Read on for more Disney Cruise Line news:

  • I was thrilled about Seattle since easier, cheaper, and no customs issues (My mother and I are from Oregon and LA)….We do have the High Tea booked, but sad no hear that it will be ending. Read so many nice things about it.

  • We can’t wait till July 2nd for our cruise date out of Seattle exploring the Alaskan inlet. We were psyched we are traveling out of Seattle than Vancouver but both cities are pricy for flights.

I did read somewhere that this year is the only year the Alaskan cruise is going in and out of Seattle. It is going back to Vancouver for 2013. Is this true? If so, why? Seattle is beautiful from the pictures I’ve seen and my hubby and I can’t wait to go up in the Space Needle.

I also read somewhere that this is the last year for the High Tea at Palo’s. This is our 5th cruise with Disney but they were all in the Caribbean (warmer climate). I made sure since we will be in a colder region that we should experience the High Tea. If true, why is DCL getting rid of this activity?

  • Seattle!!! Flying out there in 11 days and setting sail on the Disney Wonder in 13!!!

  • Actually, looking at your itineraries, I would probably want to sail out of Vancouver. It’s a little bit easier for me, as a Canadian, not to have to fly down to the US first ^_^
