We’ve previously featured short clips of the films that have been shown in Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure park, and each time Disney Parks Blog readers asked for more. Earlier today, we showed you a complete video from Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar that showed Imagineers sharing their experiences while creating Cars Land. Now we’re bringing you the complete video that showed while Buena Vista Street was featured at Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar. Hear from the Imagineers themselves about the inspiration and history behind this immersive, new main entrance at Disney California Adventure park.

  • Yay!

I know a lot of people were looking forward to Cars Land, and that was where most of the attention seemed focused. I was, too, but I’d been looking forward to Buena Vista Street even more.

It was wonderful to hear from these Imagineers, to hear them tell about their personal connection to their projects, why it was so meaningful for them, and even what brought them to the place where they were able to do this. So very touching and inspiring!

  • What a great video. It actually made me tear up a bit. How wonderful to see how these Imagineers have had their dream turn into their career. What I wouldn’t give to trade places with them for just one day.

  • This is just inspiring… I really want to go see this now. I have always wanted to be an Imagineer, but I think they should be imaginEARS… Is there any great tips for high school students like myself to start their path on the road to becoming one. I am looking forward to being a member of the college intern program. This really is my dream job.

  • Pictures really do hold a 1000 words (and emotions!). The first minute had me in tears….thank you for sharing this beautiful video. More please….

  • great job on the video noah!! 😀

  • Awesome! Thanks so much for posting stuff like this–as someone who lives across the country from CA, I probably won’t get to see most of these Blue Sky videos myself. Thanks!

  • Having visited Buena Vista Street, it really sets the tone for the whole park experience and makes it seem truly connected to _Disney’s_ California Adventure– the adventure it was for him to come and build a life, realize a dream, and have that dream continue in so many others’ hearts.

My 9-year-old daughter was born in Downtown Los Angeles and is growing up at Disneyland/California Adventure. I really hope that this “dream big and do it” attitude is part of her life as well!

Thank you to all the cast members who make this experience possible: Imagineers, webfolk, the camera operators who are right alongside the construction crew, down to the guys and gals in the white suits with brooms who put the final cleaning polish on everything! (BTW, that is my dream retirement job: to help create a beautiful, tidy, magical world, hand out maps and pins with a smile and a kind word, and walk through all the park all day long.)

  • AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME VIDEO! It captures what this new place means to not only those who grew up miles from Disneyland, but what it means in general to contribute to a wonderful idea of providing life long entertainment to the world.

  • This was remarkably well done. Congrats to all who contributed their effort and passion.

  • So whats the future plans for Hollywoodland?
