Today is the first day of summer, and I can’t think of anything that reminds me of the season more than the tropical setting of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

In honor of the summer season, here’s a brand-new desktop wallpaper for your computers and smart phones, designed by Disney Artist Tom May.

Have a great summer, everyone!

  • Yup…Josh is right. Size adjustment please for phones. I have an android, and the size was way off. I loaded it, but you can only see the center section of the picture. I got it on my desktop, and I love it…so thanks for that. But would love to have it on my phone as well.

  • Patricia,
I believe that was actually Walt’s original concept for the Tiki Room to be a restaurant much like he saw in Hawaii where he liked to travel.

  • Darn it can’t download it – access denied : (

  • Sometimes, I really wish The Enchanted Tiki Room could be reworked as a restaurant. It would be so gorgeous and would be a fun dinner show. But I don’t know if people would pay for it.

What I would REALLY love to see is an Adventurer’s Club restaurant built in Adventureland. A really nice sit-down restaurant that would be a buffet for lunch and table service in the evening, which would have the spirit of the old Adventurer’s Club that was at Pleasure Island. I picture the Enchanted Tiki Room being just one room of an explorer’s mansion that would also house the Adventurer’s Club restaurant.

This is just a dream of mine and I know it will never happen, but I never got to see the Adventurer’s Club and my son loved it and always tells me what I missed out on and I am more than a little jealous.

I do love eating a Dole Whip and watching the Tiki Room show though.

  • Thanks for the wallpapers, they look great! One comment though: the iPhone wallpapers should be sized at 640×960 and the Android wallpapers should be 480×800 (or thereabouts). The sizes you have are rather out of date…
