This is the second in our eight-part series about fun ways to enjoy the new Disney California Adventure park. With the park’s grand reopening in June, there’s even more to explore day and night, from Cars Land to the music and games at Mad T Party in Hollywood Land. With so much to do, we came up with some specialized itineraries to help you plan your next visit.
The Red Car News Boys Perform with Mickey Mouse on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park

Today’s list is for guests who enjoy immersive and interactive entertainment that’s fun for all ages. You can relax inside a cool theater on a warm afternoon, cheer some of your favorite Pixar pals, or head down the Rabbit Hole at night. Be sure to check the park guide for show times.

    • Mad T Party (new at Hollywood Land, every night this summer)

    • “Phineas & Ferb’s Rockin’ Rollin’ Dance Party”

Remember to pick up Disney’s FASTPASS when you arrive to get reserved viewing for “World of Color,” or try one of the dining packages that include reserved viewing.

What are your favorite shows, and which ones are you planning to see this summer at Disney California Adventure park?

Check out these posts for more about entertainment at Disney California Adventure park:

  • I can’t believe you forgot Minnie’s Fly Girl Charter Airlines! This is one of the best shows the Disneyland Resort has to offer! I also LOVE the Red Car News Boys and Five & Dime!

    Oh…who am I fooling? I love it all! 🙂

  • Yes, definitely Minnie’s Fly Girls.

Also now Goofy does a thing I believe it’s called “Instant Concert, Just Add Water” with the World of Color fountains in the afternoon.

There’s also a Mickey Mouse dance show across from Monsters Inc during the day.

Last time we went my girls spent over TWO HOURS at Dance with Disney in the old Who Wants to Be a Millionaire building while my husband sat and watched them have a great time.

The Citizens of Buena Vista Street are great entertainment. We watched a cop give a kid a ticket for not smiling. 🙂

AND there’s Russell and Dug out at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail who do a little Wilderness Explorer badge ceremony show!

If Ursula’s Grotto counts as entertainment then shouldnt Blue Sky Cellar Count too?

And in Cars Land they have a DJ hot Rod car come out and do a lights and music show for the kids to dance to.

Yes, the last time we went to DCA the entertainment options were plentiful and phenomenal!

  • If it didn’t take a good 1-1/2 to 2 hours from lining-up to leaving, we would do Aladdin EVERY single trip to DCA. Such an amazing show! Probably the closest you can get to watching a Broadway musical… FOR FREE!!! (OK, yeah, you’re paying for the ticket into the park, but still not paying EXTRA!)

  • Also, a hidden gem of entertainment is The Happy Camper, right across from the Rushin’ River Outfitter and Grizzly River Run! Not only is Kim an amazing performer, but he also took the time to sing a quick “Happy Birthday to You” to just about EVERY person who walked by wearing a birthday button… WITHOUT skipping a beat when he went back to the song he was in the middle of!

  • The Red Cars News Boys show is awesome!

And yes Minnie’s Fly Girls Charter Airline is great too!

You are probably thinking of Disney Dance Crew. That show is no longer playing.

  • Fred, no Catherine is right there is a new attraction called Dancing with Disney where guests can dance with Disney Stars like Daisy Duck, Clarabelle Cow, Lilo, and many other. It’s one of my favorite new offerings at DCA.

  • Tiffany and Catherine – I think this is the part of Catherine’s post that Fred is referring to:

“There’s also a Mickey Mouse dance show across from Monsters Inc during the day.”

THAT particular show, Disney Dance Crew is no longer showing. You are right though about Dancing with Disney. These are two completely different shows.

  • Yes, Corey is correct, I was referring to the Mickey show (Disney Dance Crew) that used to play on the stage across from the Monsters Inc ride. Its no longer playing.

And yes, Dancing with Disney is a new attraction n the former “Millionaire” building.

    Sorry for the confusion. 🙂
