In the newest Disney Fairies movie “Secret of the Wings,” coming to Blu-ray and DVD October 23, Tinker Bell journeys into the mysterious world of the Winter Woods, where curiosity and adventure lead her to an amazing discovery and reveal a magical secret that could change her world forever. In the Winter Woods, Tinker Bell meets Periwinkle, a frost fairy who turns out to be Tink’s sister, born of the same baby’s laugh.

Soon, you’ll be able to meet Periwinkle, too, as we bring a bit of the Winter Woods to Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook at Magic Kingdom Park and Pixie Hollow at Disneyland park. These areas will receive a sparkling layer of snow and ice, creating the perfect environment to greet Periwinkle and make her feel at home. Even Tinker Bell will be dressed for the occasion, wearing her warm, wintry ensemble from the film.

Look for Periwinkle to join her sister at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom parks, beginning in mid-September.

  • CUTE!! How long will Periwinkle be in Disneyland? My family will be there Nov 15 – 20 ; I’d love a picture!

  • YAY!!! I’ve been waiting for this announcement! I am so excited to see the next movie in the series of Disney Fairies (I am a huge fan). Look forward to having Periwinkle in the parks! Will we get a chance to meet her year round after she arrives in September?

  • Pretty cool. The Tinker Bell movies are a cute series.

It will be cool to see Pixie Hollow with snow.

  • Very cool 🙂 Looking forwrd to meeting Periwinkle and love Tinks new outfit.

  • Will Periwinkle be at WDW the first week in December still? My daughter would be thrilled if she is there when we are!

    • Melissa, Bridget & Jennifer – Periwinkle is expected to visit the Disney Parks through the winter.

  • Will it only be Tink and Periwinkle in the Nook with the change or will we still be able to find a couple of the other fairies too?

  • I hope Rosetta and Vidia are still hanging out even despite Periwinkle’s joining in! Will they hopefully be rotating, or is it just going to be Tink and Peri from here on out?

    • Anjanette & Amanda – Periwinkle will be with Tinker Bell through the winter, but some of Tink’s other fairy friends may also visit from time to time.

  • Technically winter starts on Dec. 21st and ends March 20th; so, Periwinkle will still be there in January when my girls and I plan on visiting, right?

  • So am I the only one wondering why Tink is wearing sleeves, but the “Frost Fairy” has bear shoulders?

    • Mary Ann – It will all make sense once you see the movie, “Secret of the Wings!”

  • My girls are super excited–we arrive just in time! We’ve met all the other fairies, except for Terrance. Will he be coming back anytime soon?

  • Mary Ann – my guess is she’s used to the cold! 🙂

  • This is so cute! 🙂 I’m going to WDW in December for the opening of Fantasyland, and then again in January; hopefully we’ll have a chance to meet her!

  • Terrance was there yesterday (sunday the 26th)so he still shows up, it’s a bit random. I haven’t seen Rosetta in ages though I don’t go during the week.

  • I can’t wait!!! I want a picture with her!!! With all the fairies!
