Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure park is a boulevard of dreams and dreamers, bringing to life a bit of the 1920s-era Los Angeles a young Walt Disney might have experienced when he first arrived in town. Just like Walt, guests visiting Buena Vista Street are sure to encounter some of the friendliest citizens around, like Officer Calvin Blue, a beat cop with a particularly rosy disposition.
This is the first in a series here on the Disney Parks Blog, introducing you to some of the Citizens of Buena Vista Street. Check back next time, when we’ll meet Donna, a lovely lady who doesn’t go anywhere without her pet pooch.

Love hearing about these guys! (Can’t wait to see Officer Calvin Blue’s reaction when I ask him if he has seen Molly lately;-)
Buena Vista Street is a wonderful addition to DCA. Will Anaheim get their own “Scoop” – pin expert – amongst the citizens of Buena Vista Street?
CUTE!!
Oh this was so cute and put a big smile on my face on this foggy morning here in central PA. Looking forward to meeting more fun people on Buena Vista Street.
I love this idea! I met him on our first day back to DCA after they reopened it and I loved the way he was making every one have a good time! He was an amazing idea and for the other Citizens of Buena Vista Street well I love them too! They make my day just to see them in such a good mood! =]
Oh, by golly, Calvin’s got a thing for Molly! Great little video on Officer Blue. Can’t wait to see your piece on Phiphi the Photographer. Just like Loren, I had a really fun photo session with Phiphi and the PhotoPass photographer. I took a photo of Phiphi taking a photo of the PhotoPass Photographer who was taking a photo of me taking a photo of Phiphi taking a photo of the PhotoPass Photographer who was taking a photo of… OK, I think you get the picture!
I am happy for this interaction. Was this brought on by the popularity of how Hollywood Studios has all their citizens?
Love love love the citizens of Buena Vista Street they add so much charm to Buena Vista. I cant wait to watch the next video about Donna.
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (did I mention LOVE) the Citizens of Buena Vista Street. I always like to check in with Officer Blue to thank him for keeping the streets safe. Thank you for highlighting him and, soon, others of the Citizens. Molly the Messenger delivered me a message from Mickey himself which I have hanging on my wall, Phi phi and I shared one of my most memorable photo shoots together (I ended up buying the “Growl like a bear” photos from Photo Pass and the “Afraid of the crouching tiger” shot is currently my facebook photo), while Donna and I have shared many a dog story. These experiences have helped bring more magic to my Disney California Adventure experience. I just wish I would see them more often!
The atmosphere entertainment is a fantastic idea! I love seeing the citizens of Buena Vista Street out and around.
