I’m excited to tell you Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz, two of the main characters from Disney’s newest animated adventure comedy “Wreck-It Ralph,” will soon be making their debut at Disney Parks.
My family and I can’t wait to see “Wreck-It Ralph.” In the movie, video game “bad guy” Ralph is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, the “good guy” star of their game who always gets to save the day. Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on an adventure across the arcade, with potentially disastrous results! Along the way, he runs into feisty misfit Vanellope VonSchweetz from the candy-coated cart racing game, “Sugar Rush,” and the unlikely duo must team up to try and save the day.
“Wreck-It Ralph” is going to be great, and meeting Ralph and Vanellope in the parks will be just as fun. At The Magic of Disney Animation attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll step through Game Central Station, catching glimpses of the various game worlds from the film on your way to “Sugar Rush,” where Vanellope and Ralph are waiting to meet you at the finish line.
At Disneyland park, the arcade world of “Wreck-It Ralph” comes to life within the Tomorrowland Starcade. When Ralph and Vanellope are there, you’ll have an opportunity to meet them at the portal to “Sugar Rush” and can even play a round on the classic arcade game “Fix-It Felix, Jr.”
Look for each of these experiences to open this November, and be sure to catch “Wreck-It Ralph” in theaters November 2 in 3D!

I love meeting new characters and this makes me excited for November to come! 😀
🙂 I am bouncing in my chair right now!! My family and I are thrilled to be counting down the days until our Disneyland vacation (55 more days to go!)….I might have to keep this one under wraps and let it be a surprise…..if I can contain my excitement that is!
So glad to hear how excited you are, Melissa! I’m sure you’ll have a great time at the parks.
This is AMAZING NEWS. You guys have no idea how much my boyfriend and I not only love video games, but Disney too!
And coincidentally, we’re also going to Disneyland this November! I heard that apparently only a handful of those arcades were made (I think 13?) So that is even more incredible that we’ll get a chance to play on it!
Thank you so much for sharing this exciting news. Now I can’t wait to experience the movie and go to Disneyland even more!
Fantastic idea! Starcade was my first place to run to as a kid and it will be nice to see it get some love. Lots of room on the 2nd floor for you to go wild with! Themed with Wreck it Ralph it should be perfect. I’m really excited about this..
I do hope they will have the 2nd floor of the Starcade finnally open..It’d be great to see him up there and the return of a bunch of classic gaming.
Ted – The new area for Ralph and Vanellope at Disneyland will actually be on the first floor, in an area of the current Starcade closest to the exit from Space Mountain.
I like the preveus
I am very excited to meet these characters! We went to Comic-Con and got to see 10 minutes from the film and I’m absolutely in love with it already!
But, when you say “portal to Sugar Rush,” this portal will also be inviting to kids at heart, too, right? Like, Wreck-It Ralph sized kids are heart?
I hope these characters stay around for a while. I am having back surgery next month which is going to delay or return to WDW until October of 2014. It is our largest gap between trips since we first went in 2007. Better to be healed 100% before returning again.
Are they still going to be in Hollywood Studios in January? I always love meeting new characters!
While this looks great, I’m disappointed it won’t be open when I go in mid October. My son loves the Wreck It Ralph book and cant wait to see the movie. I know he would love seeing these characters in person.
