Celebrate Día de los Muertos During Halloween Time at Disneyland Park

Since 2007, Disneyland park guests have been invited to celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland during Halloween Time. A spirited tribute to the Mexican holiday honoring the dead, the area features cheerful skeletons and brightly colored altars with marigolds and sugar skulls. Guests even get their faces painted and enjoy festive traditional music during the celebration.   • Dia De Los Muertos is November 2 – I know because it’s my birthday. Usually the display stays up until the actual day. Is there a reason why it will be taken down early (with the halloween decor) this year?

  • That sounds really neat! Do they do anything over at Epcot in the Mexico pavilion (or anywhere in WDW) for the Day of the Dead?
