This is the fourth in our series about fun ways to enjoy Disney California Adventure park. With the park’s grand reopening this past June, there’s even more excitement day and night, from riding Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land to rising high above Paradise Bay and reaching the top of Mickey’s Fun Wheel (the nighttime view is especially spectacular!)

With so much to do for guests of all ages, we came up with some specialized itineraries to help you explore the park. Today’s list is for guests who love thrills of all kinds: a speedy, smooth roller coaster that turns you upside down, a terrifying tower with unexpected drops down an elevator shaft, and a giant swing that sends you gliding over Paradise Bay.

Eight Ways to Enjoy Disney California Adventure Park: A Thrill Seeker's Adventure

This itinerary is a thrill seeker’s adventure.

When was the last time you went flying, screaming, racing, spinning, free-falling and soarin’ at Disney California Adventure park – and what thrills did you choose?

  • I was just there last week and enjoyed all of those attractions except for Radiator Racers. I was there for a conference, so most days I couldn’t get to the park, until after 5 and by then the fast passes were all gone for the racers and I didn’t want to wait in the 1-2 hr line. On Friday, my wife joined me and we went into DLand itself in the morning and then headed over to DCA around 11 to grab fast passes for the racers…only to amazingly find out that the fast pass distribution was once again all done for the day and was boasting a 60 minute wait time.

We rode some of the other Cars Land rides as well as Tower of Terror and other thrill adventures, but I was bummed at the popularity of the Racers. Because it was our only full day (and her only day), we skipped the line in lieu of riding more rides..will have to return and try it out next time.

  • We went flying, screaming, swinging and soarin’ just a few months ago at California Advernture for the first time. Just booked our return today for next June. Can’t wait to be home where we can fly, scream, race, swing, and soar again!
