For the fourth year in a row, Sailor Mickey Mouse will chart a course along New York’s Central Park, through Columbus Circle, down 6th Avenue and arriving at Macy’s Herald Square, as the 61-foot-high balloon takes part in the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The 600-pound balloon, which also measures 33 feet wide and 48 feet long, requires 14,000 cubic feet of helium and two hours of inflation time.
Check your local listings for Thursday morning so you can watch the Sailor Mickey Mouse balloon sail through the Big Apple…and use the “share” button below to make sure all of your friends don’t miss it!

My family and I loved seeing the Mickey balloon! 🙂 And the Kermit and Buzz ones too, but Mickey was one of my favorites.
Buzz will be in the parade as well, I do believe.
We were able to go to the parade last year, and watched as the baloons were inflated on Wednesday night. I was really excited to see Mickey float down the route. I was also able to get a picture with Buzz when he was still tethered to the ground
How come you guys only mention Mickey? What about the Kermit balloon? Isn’t that going to be in the parade as well this year?
