When I was young, I spent countless hours playing with my Star Wars action figures, re-enacting my favorite scenes from the movies. Back then, I couldn’t have imagined what it would be like to come face to face with Darth Vader in a light saber battle or to meet C3PO and R2D2.

On the opening days of this year’s Star Wars Weekends, some of our guests took one step closer to putting themselves in the movies by visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios in elaborate costumes and meeting their favorite characters. From family-made pieces to professionally-finished gear and make-up, guests played a starring role in the festivities, too.

I had never pictured Darth Vader in a green tutu, but I think it works. Which is your favorite?

  • Thanks Matt!! I’m picture #18 and my sister is #4! Can’t believe the Weekends are almost over in 2013. We all had a blast once again as we have for the last 11 years, still the greatest time of year for any Disney/Star Wars fan! See you all back in 2014 and may the Force be with you!!

  • That’s our little Darth Tutu! Had a wonderful time at Star Wars Weekend! Fun meeting all the characters, making new friends and spending time with family. Hope you find the 12yr old boy we met whilst in line at Darth Mall who apparently has 53 different Star Wars costumes! He’s supposed to be Hans Solo in carbonite this weekend, on a wheeled platform!

  • That’s me in the rebel costume that Leia wears when she’s on Endor! Star Wars Weekend was a blast and dressing up made it so much more fun! Han Solo, Ayy Vida, and Queen Amidala were also part of my group.

  • The Darth Vader tutu and the little girl in the R2D2 tutu were adorable. I also liked the lady in the ewok costume. Kudos to all and I know they had a great day.
